The APES guild use layering exploits to generate mob respawns over and over again to AOE grind rep. This is clearly an exploit of the layering system and Blizzard needs to come down on them hard.
Just like the world’s first level 60, which exploited layering bugs to generate mobs to AOE grind, this needs to be addressed by Blizzard and the exploiters banned.
Both world’s first streamed these layering bug exploits so there can be no denying it.
Blizzard: Save the vanilla WoW experience by a) Banning those who exploit layering bugs, and b) Fix the layering bugs!
allowing loot to be traded and having cross-server pretty much removes any difficulty vanilla had, and the fact that it has no mechanics makes it null and void
Because everything anyone does in an open world has a direct impact in that world. A player getting more gold, or better gear through abusing a mechanic eventually affects other players.
Wait until you loose that battleground because someone abused layers to have the better gear, someone outbids you on AH because he had more gold he duped, or lowers your AH prices because he outcompeted you by better farming through layering.
the “you shouldn’t care what others do in this world” is the attitude that created WOD, where you sit in your own instance all day not caring.
Real players do care actually. It is the people who are doing the same thing to gain an advantage saying they dont care because they dont want it to be taken away from them.
Look, I can admit what was being done on Classic certainly wasn’t possible in Vanilla. I can admit that it clearly seems advantageous to be able to do what was done.
However, this isn’t a bug, exploit, or even any kind of mechanical issue!
This is “layering”. This is exactly how it was designed to function. It’s working perfectly fine. Admitting to the above, yeah layering did not exist in Vanilla. However it exists in Classic. It’s just how the game works.
Blizzard knew that this would be a consequence of layering.
Ragnaros and Ony were going to go down within a week regardless anyway; these guys have been doing this on private servers for years, and they’ve been doing it without layering.
