what it comes down to is they are not giving up on layers, thats how they made this cost effective.

Getting buffs from mobs in one instance, then taking that to another, IS.
Buffs or debuffs are supposed to vanish when you exit an instance.

The premise of classic is community or it is just classic retail.
So what others do matters to all of us, either we preserve the experience that we have all sought from classic or let it be exploited.
I choose to preserve and ban cheaters.

In a thread earlier someone linked a blue post from back in the day where they explicitly confirmed that one of the main reasons that buff exists was for use in BWL and MC.
It’s not an exploit.

Their experience doesn’t impact 99.9% of the people, other than the ones that try to use their accomplishment to try and diminish classic (which is stupid btw).
Blizzard couldn’t think of every situation but knew for a fact that layering would be abused. AOE grinding was a very common example given, and also escaping pvp.
Blizz wanted layering, this is the game we get. No one is getting punished, guaranteed. It is a side effect of the system that Blizz created, whether we like it or not.
People are asking for layer hops constantly in World chat.

Getting world buffs, ony head buff and dire maul north tribute buff before raids has been a thing for a very long time. Buffs are not supposed to be removed when you enter and exit raids/instances

You think Blizzard is going to officially say something? Where is the proof that layer hopping is an exploit?
We just know how Blizzard reacts to a lot of situations, they will ignore it.
I was watching a couple streamers doing it over the weekend. They were switching up groups to change layer so they could mage farm the Dustwallow murlocs over and over.
I know it is happening, people are asking for layer hops in chat. No one is hiding it.
He was asking for proof that Blizz is saying it is ok to do.
Call this what you will. Obviously this ‘exploit’ is damaging to the community and the spirit of the game, in my humble opinion. Intentional or not. Just because something exists does not necessarily make it right.

There is no world first anything in Classic. This is a playpen for people who think they wanted the vanilla experience. Now that you got it you want to complain? Tough luck, stop complaining.
