Layering exploit is real - Guy has 160,000 gold in Arcane Crystals

You really think there going to give us Phase 2 world bosses and keep layering in??? I mean if they did it would really kill things. I guess I have more faith (pun intended) in blizzard than you.

Keep in mind we have no idea how long phase 1 will be, but they did state that it would be a longer phase than other phases. On Herod we have already seen a huge drop in our queue times. The free xfer’s should only help that even further.

That’s a very good point. In BfA, a bag selling for 10s fifteen years ago is still selling for 10s now.

People being too vapid to actually reason out that the “proof” is fake is why stupid conspiracy theories are so common place nowadays. Instead of taking 30 seconds to think of what they are seeing/reading remotely makes sense their head kicks into a mouth-frothing overdrive about it.

So assuming that a person had a rich-thorium node that had endless hits on it and limitless bag space…

  1. Arcane crystals have 3% drop rate from rich thorium nodes
  2. 3,200 arcane crystals @ 3% drop rate would require 106,667 mining actions
  3. 106,667 mining actions @3.2 second cast time is 5,689 minutes
  4. 5,689 minutes is 94.8 hours spent ONLY on cast time
  5. Assume there is a 1 second action/lag that encompasses looting node/clicking node
  6. This adds 1,778 minutes or 29.6 hours just for an assumed, absurdly low time to interact with node
  7. Now up to 124.4 hours of gameplay needed to farm that

So, 124 hours to hit 3,200 arcane crystals just based off of sheer number of node hits needed & casting time…using assumption a person never had to move, has endless bag space, an infinite thorium node, etc. So servers have been live for what 216 hours when the post was made?

DUDE THAT IS COMPLETELY BELIEVABLE!!! DON’T FORGET HIS 1K BLUE LOTUS TOO!!! LAYERING IS SO BROKEN!!11!1!1!

Side note:
9) Assume each hit gives you an a really conservative 3 ore & 3 dense stone, this means you will collect 320,000 ore and 320,000 stone over that time
10) This is respectively 16,000 stacks @ 20 for each one, so total of 32,000 stacks in your bag

Blizz was warned people would exploit layer hopping for farming high end mats.
They predictably took it lightly.

The rarity of these mats are what creates the bottleneck in the supply of the items they go into making which is where a lot of their value comes from.
So it’s kind of a big deal when someone can dump fifty thousand of them on the auction house.

:man_facepalming: No.

They’ve repeatedly said they’ll delay Phase 2 until layering is gone.

It depends on the reason why the suplly was short(hurricanes? Diseases? Fatal accident? War? Corruption? Some crazy and uncalculated gov interv?) and the damage it caused to the industry as a whole. I get what you say but the private and public political nuances over the scarcity of supplies are the major reason for this prices issue to happen becauee how coin prices works in a global financial system. It cannot happen in a simple and virtual economy like wow. Nodes sre always in thst zone, everyone can mine, people will be low on gold for over 2 months when people start getting level 60 etc.

“We’re gonna need a bigger bag.”

Yawn. Over it

Ok, I agree with you, but i’m confused in your earlier post you said they wouldn’t remove layering on their original timetable? The original timetable has always been phase 2.

Phase 2 is not a time.

The original timetable was “a few weeks” as promised by Ion in a Dev interview.

Are you referring to the interviews they did last year? Ya I wouldn’t trust any of that info. But ya no way in hell its going away on any server within 1 month even.

Thats terrible maths lol. The highest amount of lost time is nodes spawn and only 4 layers considering with mobs to make him lose even more time. The medium average of 3% is also wrongly calculated. If you want the real data it would require… literally 40. 40 days played whitout a single competition.

It can’t. We’d all be sitting in each others laps. And while that might be a nice idea in some cases, not … this time.

No, in May.

Yeah, and the fault lies in only opening 11 servers, not 30-50. They’re opening that many anyway but people aren’t spreading out.

Lol nice reply. I like arbitrarily stating numbers too.

Those of us who have brought up these issues with video proof during the beta and stress test were called fear mongers. Guess Blizzard thought so as well since they haven’t done anything yet.

The bed is made, layering should of never existed.

Enjoy your modified no changes Classic experience until it’s removed.

I am - thanks!

Ikr. There was a dude calculating 3% rates of existing in single pick as overall picks and that same pick is there over 100 times or so every 3.0 secs.

Are you actually challenged mentally? I found it in 30 seconds on curseforge, it’s called QuickLayer. False rumors??? HAHAHAHA

Not like I clearly stated, assuming a person has a rich thorium node with endless hits on it. Not like I was using a completely impossible assumption, ie an endless node, to show that the math still doesn’t work out.

Reading sure is hard isn’t it?
