So everybody gets a classic experience except for RPers? Rpers have to make up new backstories and explanations for phenomena that did not exist in the original game? That nonsense is precisely the opposite of roll playing. If the enviorment dictates the type of story, I do not get to roleplay the way I could in classic, I now have to exist in a world fundamentally different from what it was prior.
Thankfully Classic stayed out of that mess before it began.
RP happens inspite of code not because of code.
Support the OP all you like. Ignoring the reason for layering will get this topic no where. Blizzard isnât going to let go of layering because their reason is too high on their priorities list.
So characters didnât teleport in the original game? Characters didnât turn invisible in the original game? Orcs didnât come from another world in the original game?
If your RPing canât stand up to this, how can it stand up to people logging into or out of the game, or NPCs that youâve already killed numerous times still being around?
Nice try, but no, you are deliberately missing the point, but a few points for effort
Just use your imagination and role play that there is no layering.
A well versed RPer should understand that no matter where you go you can easily miss people no matter what. You could easily play it off as they were in a different hut or area or simply meet them later. Perhaps you last track of them after your traning started and were unable to get back to them until later.
RP allows you to explain the solution to any problem you come across if you have the imagination to do so.
You live in a world you dont control the world sorry to break it to you.

Several people on this thread.
I imagine this is why they donât want to make RP servers from the Jump. They know Layering will not work for these types of servers.
I know. Your point is that you are looking for an excuse to say layering is just terrible, and this is the hook youâre hanging your hat on.
this is the only thing we have to go on. i have bookmarked it at the spot where tipsout quotes ion
