our region has had a long history of being ignored/forgotten by blizz and treated like 2nd class players, this extends far back into retail. the only way we know we will be heard or at least even seen is by making ourselves as visible as possible. even on the last set of attempted ‘delayering’ our server was not closed for xfers/fresh rollers almost a whole week after the NA/EU realms had.
i am truely trying to find any logic in removing layers from a massively over-populated server, while also opening paid xfers and new characters on our first week of AQ resets. even worse when we are the only server in the region with open gates.
This is true and unfortunate. It also leads one to believe the profits there are not that great or at least not great enough to worry about how happy people are there. If it is a very profitable area one would think Blizzard/Activision would worry more about that part of the player base. I think layering needs to be gone and players do have a part to play in that, BUT Blizzard also bares responsibility and should not have opened up transfers in at the bare minimum and set up free transfers off.
Wow, merging these threads must have been a monster of a job.
Just as a note - I think a single thread with near on 600 responses is far more powerful a message than spamming.
don’t worry, they merged that thread into this one as well.
$15 subscription
Multi-billion dollar company
3,101+ 5hr queue

Good. I have no horse in this race, but I honestly think this will have more of an impact.
Please add layers. I can’t believe Blizzard expects us to pay for a monthly subscription to sit in a queue for 5 hours, worrying if we’ll get on in time for our raids. Absolute garbage decision.
Absolute garbage decision.
I mean, can we really expect anything different from ActiBlizzard at this point?
#layerarugal
Please.
lol nobody is forcing you to
Adding to the #LayerArugal cacophony.
There are zero counter-arguments here; paying customers literally cannot use a product they’ve paid for because of login queues.
End of discussion. Fix it.
A small handful of people arguing against literally dozens and dozens of us. They’re like a fart in the wind.

I can not speak for the other names in that list, but I can say I am not against layers. Hell it does not matter to me at all. I have simply pointed out some issues with ‘how’ many of you are advocating in favor for layering. But to each their own. No matter the outcome I am unaffected.
Please #LayerArugal. The server is far too large for a single layer at the moment.
Layer Arugal you numpties!!
#LayerArugal. Our raid night was ruined last night because of the queues with many raiders unable to login 4hrs early or booking out of the queue.
was really hoping to have woken up to some kind of acknowledgement or announcement, very disappointing that the extremely disrupted play for much of our realm for the past couple of days has not been addressed at all.
Please #layerarugal or explain why you aren’t, so I can make a decision about whether or not to keep spending on my significant number of subscriptions.
Laughable that one of the non-affected people thinks there are 15K subs coming from Oceania. Not every sub has an active raiding toon on it.
<— Perfect example. haven’t touched a raid since November '19. Well except for trying out the rogue aq20 solo gold farm last week.
It’s still Sunday for them, but who knows. They’re rather unpredictable with communication.
#layerarugal
Hello,
I would very much like layers please.
Kindest,
Gax
Blizzard dropped this bomb right before they went home for the weekend. They aren’t likely going to address it until they return tomorrow. Even then they may slowly deliberate as Blizzard always does.
Had AQ40 scheduled for our guild last night. We couldn’t do it as half of our team was in a queue.
Not only can people in queue not play, but those in game miss out too. Absolutely out of touch with your community, and I have cancelled my subs. I’m not waiting in queues to play characters I’ve put my heart and soul into for the better part of a year. I’d rather just not play.
