But there’s no way alliance helves will happen unless they walk back the pandas decision in which case it wouldn’t just be high elves alone being playable. Horde would get something alliance exclusive in return.

I just looked it up and saw the customization options for Shadowlands. Honestly, I think that is the best they could do given the way they told the High Elf story, and I figured that if they were going to add the option, it would be simply be giving Blood Elves the option to use blue eyes. It’s probably a block of salt for anybody that wanted to play Alliance High Elves, but I don’t think there was any other feasible option to implement them. Adding them to the Horde is slightly odd as it is.
The Helfers will continue. But it is even more cemented that Blizzard making high elves playable is basically an april fools joke
No, I was responding to you. I’m not just here entirely to laugh at people. I do think helves could happen but they’d come with other implications. I don’t think they alone would be playable on alliance and horde would get nothing in return.
Hopefully they offer some story to tie it all together, and not a quick explanation in a Q&A a year from now.

The only non-troll solution would have been to give Void Elves flesh tones and normal hair to look like their racial leader while the Horde get zero blue eyes because it has been used as a visual indicator of Alliance alignment in Thalassian elves for over 15 years.
