Laughing Skull Alliance Reconnections

Pookie here - definitely enjoyed reading this thread. I remember quite a few names, especially VQ and the Onslaught crew. Also Lucero, Prodigy, Perfekt, Garthas, etc. Hope everyone’s doing well.

I’ll likely be going Alliance on Stalagg. Was going Herod until the queue mayhem. No time for that.

Archimonde 2.0, here we go!

Yo, Ossoi, I’m not complaining. I’m just confused. Like, 15 years ago I didn’t like you. Sure, whatever. But now, who gives a sh|t. I was an immature 24 year old. Now, I just don’t understand why some seem to still give a sh|t over nonsense in a video game form half their lifetime ago!

Random: it occurred to me today that the last time a Tool album dropped, I was playing Vanilla and there was an idiot in the White House. Some things never change.

Ah another familiar face I would see often in town! cheers! - Hollisterr

Names I have not seen here that I am wondering where they got to:
Cokeface - Hunter (had to get a name change to Stinkypillow)
Moran - Rogue
Foxter - Warrior
Ariolai - Warlock(likely spelt wrong)
Puni - Druid (GM of Royal Council)
Lamental - Warlock

And one person I am not surprised has not shown his face is Cougarcraig…

Also Spyro you still owe me a Dreadmist chest

I mean you’re posting on the thread for a server from 15 years ago, but this thread isn’t even for your faction. So clearly 15 year old connections with people you couldn’t even communicate with in-game have some meaning for you

We are all here because the WoW Classic announcement invoked a degree of nostalgia. Whether that’s for the game itself, the friendships or the rivalries.

People talking about their memories, their decisions, their achievements etc all invoke more nostalgia in the rest of us. I’m sure none of us remember every single thing that happened on LS, so might as well make the most of it

As I said earlier, I fought against TR in Star Wars Galaxies. At the time we thought SWG was a game with no end-game content, but the sandbox nature meant that guilds like TR and my guild had to create their own narratives, and those narratives are fuelled just as much by stuff that happens off the game as in-game.

I said this earlier too, I’ll take being remembered for making the game fun for other people over doing BWL 6 times a week in order to “catch up”.

Agreed here. The game was fun and memorable because of the rivalries, drama, back stabbing and s**t talking which occured. It was was more fun and engaging than the actual gameplay. My fondest memories were ganking Flex’s alt in Felwood and having a single gank lead into a 6 hour guild vs guild wpvp brawl which went from Felwood into Winterspring and into IRC and the forums for weeks.

Being the first person in WOW apparently to get banned over ninja looting and having a blue post in a thread regarding my actions, a bit after vanilla though, perhaps Cata or WOLTK.

The one time we decided that we hated Vanquish and helping the horde kill the world boss that VQ was trying to kill .

The many times we would f**k over IE trying to kill Kazzak.

Being on vent when bbz killed Ragnaros and Ears mom coming into vent and saying she was open to give BJs to celebrate loll.

The most fun was in the social aspect

Yup

What, like this?

"After this triumph we heard that our Alliance brother’s In Envious were trying to kill Kazzak. So being the good friend I am to Terias I brought biscuithead and company down so I could give them a little help!

It did not go so well for IE. I guess I pulled to early?! Sigh. Better luck next time chums!

So IE calls in there cross teaming lovers to try and help them out! Tisk Tisk! You can’t beat great, you can only imitate! Don’t hate! WOW! What a night for your hero’s at TR. So much PVE and PVP content in one night. Yea… TR’s not playing wow… HAHAHAHHAHA. We are playing each of you."

Amoon - NE Priest of ‘Spite’

Wouldn’t mind running into anyone from the old ‘Stacked Deck’ crew, too.

Yeah I don’t really see how a flare would’ve helped him there. I only vanished to get out of wing clip.

Flare would have made restealthing impossible, so the vanish would fizzle. Then again, so much has changed I’m not sure how that would affect the snare removal component of Vanish. I also can’t remember if scatter trap was a thing yet, due to how DR worked. Could have taken control of the situation, but looked like a pure choke IMO.

The vanish wasn’t meant to get a restealth though, even though it did. It was just meant to break the wing clip. Flare or not, same result.

I remember you! You and a rogue named Tokee were always out doing rogue things. I played a NE hunter named Aralyn in the Roughneck Mercs, eventually we evolved to The Paragon and The General Public before I rolled to Horde side on Burning Blade at the end of TBC.
