Latest ptr notes- LOL at their newest stab at healer incentives

Hey, at least they’re listening.

At least.

Now if only they could break their habit of seemingly intentionally misinterpreting everything like some sadistic vengeful monkeys paw

It isn’t a step though. It’s just another item that’s more insulting than encouraging. It’s more just them farting in the right direction.

This is their solution we’ve been holding out for for over 9 months. Honestly, the team has no clue

plz just buff this amount. I would defs play healer more if I could gear my alts through this method.

hilarious that THIS is what they come up with after 6? months from their last soloq update. breadcrumbs of conquest that doesnt matter after they cap? every single update they do they show they dont listen to a single bit of player feedback

This is what I was going to say. Most stuff is abandoned after it’s created to focus on creating more stuff. If it’s not how you want it at implementation there’s a very low chance that will ever change, and if it does it’s 6+ months away.

They really need to buff conquest gains in general, not much else to it.

I’m not sure what to do for healers other than what a few other people have said, being BoA rewards, and making the objectively less than fair shuffle system better for them.

No repeatable source for unranked kind of stinks. Intentionally dropping mmr to farm out wins at low mmr also stinks for everybody involved.

Yeah 15 mmr post your first win is sort of just insane.

What would be wrong with 50 to 75 each time you win? There’s already no garuntee you even GET conquest.

25 > 5 for skirm, 70 > 15 for bg, 110 > 25 for ebg. Between this and the weekly quest(s) you’re basically encouraged to spread out your play time to maximize the efficiency of your gains.

You know, like, queue shuffle and a bg+skirm then do them all as they pop. Maybe while flying around a zone for the wpvp quest to collect sparks and also getting an air drop, etc.

Also finally found a way of finishing my kill tremblade quest. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

more proof they got an unpaid intern running the pvp dept

That would be a kind of okay set up were it not for the fact I have more than 1-2 characters I want to play.

This expansion feels much more alt friendly but this is the major blemish.

In case it’s not obvious to anyone what’s going on; they’re trying to find the ‘sweet spot’ where something will be just rewarding enough to get healers to queue, but so miniscule that it will keep them queuing an absurd amount of hours. They did the same thing with how healer climb works versus DPS in RSS.

I think it’s like the skirmish thing where numbers guy saw that healers had instant queues and could do a silly amount then adjusted the number to be relatively low, which…I don’t think is needed. :dracthyr_shrug: Just force feed healers conquest for their alts at this point.

Heck, you could probably give them a boa conquest box every win or something.

At the very least you’d get people willing to alt a healer for free conquest boxes if the reward was high. lol But you can grind a few thousand conquest on a new toon in 2s/3s in like a couple hours.

I imagine they don’t want playing your alt healer to be the best way to gear, but, like, there needs to be more healers for shuffle. We’re approaching the point in the season where we’re all geared, so having the catchup-type stuff seems fine.

rewards are not the answer to this problem. the only way rewards will incentivize healers is if the rewards are so over the top ridiculous that it just becomes another way for bots to farm resources (gold, conq, honor, whatever)

healer gameplay is terrible. i understand its a more complex issue to fix bad gameplay; its literally the development teams job to address that though.

tokens are low-effort and everyone sees through it, make a real change please.
