Latest Cinematic proves the Devs love the horde

They aren’t mutually exclusive either.

Agreed, but as you said it is the snowball effect, along with the story bias, and the development bias, the recolored horses, the crappy allied races, the way they push Horde in their PR, it is a whole host of issues. And all those issues have contributed to that snowball effect.

Now I don’t know if it would even be possible to fix it, given where the sub numbers are. More importantly though, even if it was possible Blizz clearly isn’t interested in fixing it.

Honestly the difference between the best and worse race is like ~300dps playing optimally. When you consider the best Horde to the best Alliance race you are looking at closer to ~40dps difference with a lot of occasions where Alliance is better or even significantly better (see Feral Druid).

The only exception where race is more valid is with Frost DK (which suck anyway) as Belf is significantly better (~200dps) than the 2nd best class simply because resource generation is really strong for a class that finds itself starved most of the time.

Just checked 11/24 specs have an Alliance race as the “best race”. So that leaves Horde with 2 more specs that have better Horde races than Alliance…

Not wrong at all

That’s true, but none of that was considered when the “snowball” started. To say that BfA greatly affected those numbers I’d believe would be wrong. It was already greatly in Horde’s favour years before this mess.

Most guilds like Method have came out and said that the only reason they would change back was if Alliance racials were so brokenly over powered that it would be unfeasible to remain Horde during the Race for World First.

Just watched the new Cinematic and - as a WARCRAFT player - I have only two ‘words’:

F YES

I think its not about dps numbers as well. Like yes its normay 200-300 if you are standing just dpsing. There are some others things to take into consideration such as making content easier like AT. Thats why i put it as 1k to 2k overall dungeon/raid.

Kings rest fear mobs come to mind here. Horde does have the ability to clear it out faster due to AT.

But as i said, unless you are going for worlds first these things shouldnt matter.

An old raid leaderboard?

Try this one:

Go ahead. Explain the difference to me. If you can do it without being condescending I might actually take your reply seriously.

Or how about this one?

Mythic Crucible rankings. 123 guilds at 1/2 bosses down. 22 guilds are alliance compared to 101 horde.

As mentioned before, it is due to racials being busted since previous expansions.

I hardly believe that top guilds switched over to horde because “alliance story is not up to my expectation”

Oh yeah. I agree. BFA certainly isn’t helping though, and in fact is only accelerating the issue at an even faster pace.

Well yeah. That is how they got them to move the first time. If one were to take on the challenge of fixing the issue that is where you would have to start.

I can’t really decide if solidifying the Zandalari alliance with the Horde and killing a weak king is really a victory or not. The Horde pushes back Alliance anyways.

you have to read the comments. They’re amazing…

“Sub rogues don’t even do damage in the cinematics”
“Rogue DPS so low can’t even gank two unarmed players.”
“Thrall: I unsubbed man. Im not gonna raid lead anymore Saurfang: come on man, just some dps 2x a week”

lol. If only we could unleash true snark on these boards with moderators getting their knickers in a twist.

I feel like I’ve seen this before…

My apologies, I didn’t realise that the ranking changed after the dungeon was completed…

Edit: The point is it has nothing to do with favouritism. Each faction has as much chance of completing content than the others.
Population is what is the main determining factor. The more people you have to pull from the more chance that you will get some 1%ers

Kind of sick of the internal Horde “strife”. It’s been played so many times now and I’d much rather see it in the Alliance right now. You know what with the tree elves wanting to rip every Horde soldiers head off and Anduin making nice with the Horde. But it’s like the internal strife for alliance gets brought up once and then it’s swept under the rug within seconds.

You and me both. Its overdone and boring. Id like the legion treatment where they just pretend we were never there and then we get some Alliance conflict. Id rather be ignored than butchered

Lol… the Horde didn’t get 4 cinematics, my boy Saurfang did! Saurfang: 4, Alliance: .5

You needed this cinematic to know that? Ive known that for years.

It is what it is.
Probably never change.
They let it go on this long why change it.

Alliance’s turn is coming. Be patient.

And it’s been stated that the horde is still due their “fist pump” moment at some point since the attacks need to be even. So even as we’re all fighting against Nazjtar, I guess the green idiots horde are going to be springing some kind of counter-attack against Kul Tiras or Stormwind or something.

Once that battle is over, we’ll see who really came out on top.

My money isn’t on the alliance since it’s more dramatic if the “scrappy underdog” (lol…horde is the “scrappy underdog” like I’m an Olympic athlete) faction ends up winning.
