I don’t think a single major Night Elf NPC died this expansion, unless you count Delaryn, the amazing night elf that we’ve known since…

I am seeing a pattern , Sylvanas died and came back too… The Girls get reborn and the boys Just die and rot away in the ground … I wonder who was the last female major character to die & stay dead…

Kil’Jaeden was extraordinarily underwhelming considering the scope of his character tbh. At least he had some time to shine in the Sunwell, no pun intended.

I believe the aspects chose an azeroth race to turn into so i guess it be a dragon that can transform to an elf

this reminds me of my comic fandom back in 1990s when main characters would get a death story arc. guess wow is going thru that phase

In the strictest definition of major lore characters, I’ll go with people who have had major influences on the whole of the lore (multiple expacs, novels, etc.). Not gonna count any AU characters, like Velen or Gul’dan. Off the top of my head, from most recent:

  1. Varok Saurfang
  2. King Rastakhan

Sure love the last couple years I’ve had in this game’s crap narrative as a Night Elf Druid.

My list is Ysera and my Darkshore/ Teldrassil people.

(Honorable mention for Cairne. I’ve always had a soft spot for Tauren.)

Death in wow means nothing to me
Because we know in wow there exist the spirit, a tangible essence that people can commune with

In the real world we don’t have that and thus our existence after death is uncertain
