Whoops, meant Cairne
You got my hopes up Ugrumag.
Sigh.
Uhhhh Ysera?
Did we actually kill Archimonde in WoD?
Itās kinda ambiguous, since while in Mythic, he died in the Twisting Nether (and thus should have perma-died like Kilājaeden), the cinematic shows him dying at the Black Gate, which ISNāT in the Twisting Nether and thus gives Archimonde a chance to regenerate.
(Also that retcon, and the Alternate Universe in general is stupid).
Iām honestly not sure even blizzard knows how demons work anymore.
the legion transcending timelines makes no sense and makes you wonder why they donāt just have an army of sargerasā or KJ and archimonds.
Blizzard explained THAT one away by saying that Demons exist in the multiverse, and that there can only be one Archimonde, KJ and so-on.
But that raises even more questions in that we know Archimonde and Kilājaeden used to be like Velen and thereās multiple Velenās.
What happened to AU Archimondeās/KJās when they accepted Sargerasā offer? Did they just kinda stop existing?
maybe theyāre just killed?
KJ and archimond are after power, they probably donāt want to share with anyone, even themselves.
but how the titans work is also unclear, supposedly the titans did visit AU draenor, but were they our titans, or an alternate timeline set of titan?
Who even knows.
Time Travel and Alternate Universes are stupid.
So, by that rationale, when we kill our universeās Archimonde or Kilājaeden, another one can rise to take their place? ![]()
Xavius.

Thanks, fam.
And none of the Night Elves even seemed to give a crap.
No mourning aftewards.
Just kinda forgotten about.
What a shame. Poor Ysera.
Everybodyās leaving Zul off their lists, heās been around since Cataclysm and died this expansion as a raid boss.
I considered Zul, but I didnāt know if he had the same sway as a Rastakhan type. He was largely a plot device in Cata and Panda for ushering in the Zandalari threat, and his role in BFA was always to become a raid boss.
Well thereās Onyxia! We killed her ⦠and oh wait, she popped up again.
But then we killed her again.
Oh wait she was resurrected yet again.
But we killed her again.
** Looks at next expansion ** āI think I see her over there yet again! Maybe weād be better off killing the spirit rezzers instead of the dragon.ā
What difference does it make? I looked at your list and Vindicator Maraad is on it, but he isnāt as important as Deathwing⦠so what?
Zul was an important character in Cataclysm, in MoP, and in BfA, and now heās dead. Heās absolutely one of the last 10 major characters to get killed.
Can we get the dragons back?
Iām curious as well, I was surprised lots of people cared about her.
Yah, that was disappointing. Really liked Ysera as a character.
Ysera going really sucked. that one stung.
we only have 2 dragon aspects left. Alexstrazsa and Norzdormu. and even as far back as BC/WOTLK it was heavily implied Norzdormu either becomes corrupted or goes mad and becomes Murozond ( it is an anagram afterall ). So only Alexstrazsaās fate is the one in the balance.
As an aside. blizz really love tearing down there legacy heroes/villains. almost all of the dragon aspects are gone. blizz have been systemically killing off the entire night elf race for all of WOWs run. the big villains have shown up and have been defeated. even sargeras was taken down and i never thought that one was possible. all thats left is the old gods. then⦠what else after that? theres the aspects of death, and strictly speaking not all of them are malicious. bwomsamdi is cunning and tricksy, but hes not out for world domination. Helya isnt really out for world domination. most of the aspects of death actually seem mostly chill with letting the natural order of things play out. eventually everyone dies, so they get there souls eventually. time is meaningless to death, all good things come to those that wait and all.
the lich king wanted to raise people for domination. the jailer of the damned ( bolvar ) has been raising people, but at this stage it looks to help with dealing with threats to azeroth. sylvanas is obviously a wildcard that will be dealt with eventually. blizz can resurrect hakkar the soulflayer, but im not sure if he has enough star power and pull for people to get overly excited about him. would blizz dare to make tyrande evil? the night elves have been getting dunked on by blizzard ever since they sacrificed there immortality to save azeroth at hyjal. it would just be another massive blow to the night elves to lose there ex-sentinel general with over 10000 years of combat experience, there high priestess of elune, the night warrior and elunes vengeance all in one fell swoop. the night elves were never as tree huggy as blizz made them in wow. only 10% of there population were druids, the rest was military, the priestesshood and the other trades. the demon blood suped up orcs were petrified of fighting the night elves in warcraft 3. extremely aggressive and territorial, nobody wanted to mess with them. its ultra sad to see how extremely poorly they have treated them in wow.
eventually though, with the burning legion and the old gods and there minions defeated, where do they go? theres not a lot of other universal level threats remaining, let alone home grown ones. when youve killed dragons, then gods, then the gods of gods. its hard to make an evil gnome look like a large enough of a threat to care about. the void lords are so eldritch and abstract that i really doubt blizz could tell that story on a meaningful level. its hard putting that face on box art and get it to sell. you gotta put a face on what your trying to defeat. you gotta build the story for people to care to defeat them or whatever new threat reveals themselves. and theres not a lot remaining. do we eventually have elune show herself? does azeroth herself get born like argus at some point?
do blizz do a " other side of azeroth "? do they do a southrend? pandaria was awfully tropical and warm in its southern regions for there not to be a southrend.
who knows.
