If I had to guess, and I say this as someone who didn’t report the other threads and didn’t have a problem with them existing, the logic is similar to why do you need recognition or a “special” place that’s only for the majority group that is the assumed default?
Like, putting a thread on these forums that’s a thread for gamers, for people who enjoy video games! The question is why, when it’s pretty much assumed that we’re like…all in that group. I assume that a thread in a venue that is mostly women that was restricted to only women would have the same kind of why feel to it, like “Women Nurses Only!” in a nursing forum, or “For the Ladies Only!” in a forum for a game like Lily’s Garden.
Like I said, no horse in the race myself, but the perception of a thread like that excluding the minority group in favor of the majority group can seem weird. Especially if people use it to start expressing less-than-savory points of view.

Just look at many of the threads about WoW and they are often a troll fest with people tossing jabs at each other with every post. They will stay up for weeks, or forever until people get bored and move on to the next.
With these community type threads, we all have to be perfect angels just to have a chance for the thread to stay, and it’s no guarantee. Except for the ones Blizzard seems to be bias toward. As this one has made it a week I think we can count it in that category. So ladies, and LGBTQ seem to get special treatment from the mods.
I guess they believe in equity over equality, or just hate men.
Personally I think they should hold to their own rules, off topic threads in GD get moved to the off topic forum or deleted like the rest. End of story. Don’t matter if it’s a topic for ladies or favorite 90s music, the moment they see it, it gets moved or deleted.

This is a myth. It wasn’t done for farmers. It was done for retail. They believed that extra bit of daylight kept shoppers out longer. They just put the onus on farmers for years.
The funny thing was while corporate lobbies pushed for Congress to bring it back, it ended up hurting retail.

We actually talked about how unfair it is that the guys thread got deleted extensively earlier on in the thread. Maybe you could try creating one again and maintain it as a peaceful hang out place for guys. Until then of course you can chill here too
