(Ladies) Is there anything in game you think is inappropriate?

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is one NPC using the line “nappy-haired” to describe another. For those not in the States or old enough to remember, “nappy-haired” is a racial slur against black people.

The only issue I see with skimpy outfits is they’re not equal opportunity: skimpy on everyone or they don’t happen, period. (Already existing skimpy armor is grandfathered in). The not-so-latent homophobia of a portion of the male player base freaking out when this is brought up is why we don’t deserve more skimpy armor.

I don’t like the /spit emote. I’ve only used it in RP, and that rarely.

ETA: The majority of “inappropriate content” I see comes from players, not the game itself.

The games fictional racism is offensive, especially sense they use real cultures to create the fictional ones. It’s like being racist against those cultures. Entire story needs to be rewritten to get rid of all the offensive things in the game. /spit was a good start.

Literally nothing in this game offends me. I know the difference between fantasy and reality.

Never heard of that term and if that’s truly the only meaning then yes, change it to a more ‘generic’ insult. Or even better, make up azeroth style insults!

you smell like a wet worgen!
…IDK

Mam, that would be racist and offensive.

Nah I dont even pay attention that much when I play anyway. What good is it to remove stuff in a video game anyway considering there’s tv and the internet. Stuff like this game skimpy silly outfits silly flirts or whatever dont make creeps nor tv pornography or whatever or else every guy would be a creep. Pointless changes.

Succubus is fine, the real crime is that Blizz still hasn’t given us an Incubus option.

Can we take a moment to realize that disabled people are extremely marginalized in video games. Rarely get any sort of representation. I think WoW had like one character? And that was a physical disability. What about the other people. More representation of the disabled is needed in games. Women and multiple cultures in Wow get way more representation then all the disabled groups combined into one.

Thats so hecklin cute.

Bro, don’t go there.
Just like back in our own history; They simply wouldn’t survive. It’s for the better. I know I would have been hidden in the basement 200 years ago.

How do you know?

It’s a fantasy world the rules are different. If we went by 200 years ago there is a lot of other groups that wouldn’t of survived either? How is this okay to say? Don’t be ableist.

The world of azeroth is 9001x more tough than our own. It would be even worse for them. Sure there’s magic. But you’d need to go to a special magic school to learn it. 99% of the population wouldn’t be able to go.

I see how it is, more representations so long as it’s only for your chosen group. Make excuses to leave any other group out. That’s just as bad as any other group trying to gatekeep representation of other unrepresented groups.

Equality for me, but not for thee.

But yea, I’m not against adding people with disabilities per se. At the same time I find it more ableist to add e.g. prothesis options to character creation as it would kind of suggest that having e.g. an artificial leg is nothing but a cosmetic thing.

Also not sure how you’d want to add mental disabilities.

Are you trying to talk about WoW specifically or gaming in general? I don’t think a productive conversation can be had in this thread if you want to talk about the entirety of videogaming.
