Why is there such a great lack of communication in the Hardcore Forum section from Community Managers or WoW Team?
There are many upset people who have been waiting for their justified resurrections due to DDoS events that occurred, yet we don’t get any updates on the ongoing processes of it.
A simple “Hey we are aware of the DDoS event that occurred and know that not everyone got resurrected that should have. The process takes time and we are looking into it for these specific dates and times.” Would go a long way.
It is really upsetting to get treated like this after decades of being a Blizzard customer.
Yes, that message is from 2 days ago, I am happy that they said something about it, but it is very vague and does not provide much information on the on-going process.
many people are still waiting, some people get revived quickly, some take weeks it seems, some none at all.
There isn’t timeframe when/who would be done. There isn’t any means to speed up theirs over someone’s else. Everything behind closed doors are going to be kept close to the chest.
Just to be clear, the blues here, SFA (support forum agents) or ‘Blues’, doesn’t do that request. Even then, they only release info that comes at the same time as the players do. The ones who get their hands on them a bit more first is the CMs, who don’t come to the CS forum for information requests.
Thanks for the clarification on CS vs CM, but it still feels like I am left in the dark when it comes to information on this and they don’t care. Sorry to disturb y’all here.
I appreciate it, but getting responses like “And they do not come here, nor inform us of those decisions.” is just a no-answer to my question and further more confirms what I said. I hope in future the WoW Dev team and CMs offer more transparency and information to their customers.
But that is the fact. Classic Development and Customer Support are very limited with each other when it comes to communication. And community managers usually post on behalf of classic development team when something usually needs to be posted.
But doesn’t mean they are ignoring you. Every thread, whether in classic or retail, but every thread, including those in the classic hardcore forums, does get read. If they just kept on posting, then very little work would get done on development of the game.
Only place where development does not read, is here in Customer Support.
You’ll get news on whats happeing when they announce it in the appropriate forum. You just have to patiently wait till they get it all fixed. Sometimes its not as easy as clicking a button to revert things.
Remember with programing , that any small change in code can and will break things in a 20 year old game. Am sure you can find something else to do while you wait for them to fix it. remember also, your not the only one in the situation.
Actualy this is more of a player help desk where we tend to direct u to the proper forums with blue moderation which as mentioned dont contact the dev they usualy find out about the same time as we do with changes.
