Ky'veza ? ? is the most horribly designed fight in WoW history

Does your class have snap mobility? Congrats you can kill it.

Play a wheelchair class? Have fun rerolling LOL

If it’s too hard for you, that doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with the encounter.

That’s been said about all the Nemesis bosses so far.

200 pulls in. Multiple 30%ish attempts. This isn’t my main.

One bad dagger spawn, one rift that you need to place too far because you were baiting something else = gg

Blink/hover/disengage/heroic leap/fel rush would negate every single wipe I’ve had

Mobility is not really an issue.

You can do all the mechanics with just regular running speed.

The real issue IMHO is how fast and precise the backstabbing clones require us to be.

I’m brazilian, from Brazil. That means I live very far away from the WoW servers. That means I have a little bit of inherent geographical lag due to the sheer distance that the data needs to travel back and forward between my PC and the game server.

So more often than not I did everything right on my end, but the server thinks I looked at the clone a fraction of a second too late, so I die lol

I can’t imagine the fight with ping. God speed

I’ve found you can bait the clones into the corner. It helps with the random 6-in-a-row that you need to spin 180 degrees for and inevitably screw one up

We were always Speed Boosted on Nemesis Bosses like Zekvir?? and Underpin??. I dont think it would change in Ky’veza.

Yikes, that sucks.

IMO should be as long as we are not hit from behind. I had too many instant deaths simply being what I would call a 45-degree angle or while I was turning into the clone’s path. Very annoying but to be fair every single one shot mechanic tends to be, these are just all one-shot mechanics after another.

I did it on a lock

Nothing overlaps rift, not sure what you’re sniffing.

Is this thread just cope for a big skill issue?

Every class I know of has enough speed boosts and speed enchants for this.

There are rare cheap deaths… nexus blade clones can spawn directly ontop of you and not give you any space to dodge in time. Overall its pretty fair though.

It’s just someone coping that they aren’t as good as they thought they were. Very few attempts are bricked by poor dagger spawns or questionable Brann choices.

There are some attempts where brann’s weapon despawns and he stops using abilities. Can kill a run too, not sure if that is fixed.

Yeah, Priest has potato speed and the closest I got him to is 12.2%. Died because of Massacre.

You’ll get it! :dracthyr_heart:

Speed mattered so much more against zekvir and underpin. I don’t even see how it would help against kyveza.

Well then…

Every class can defeat Ky’veza, at least on ? difficulty.

  • When she summons illusions to throw daggers, just take one step to the left or the right to move out of the death beam (for melee characters, rush into melee range with her, then move left or right to dodge the AoE cone that exists when you’re that close to her).
  • When she summons three illusions who rush through you, just make sure your character is facing them before they rush through you. You’ll take minimal damage.
  • When she summons gravity portals, wait for Brann to leap away and drop his portal, then run away from the two portals on the ground that have been placed to create a triangle, once you drop your portal, run to the middle, and you won’t get sucked into the portals and disintegrated.
  • When she goes through a transition phase, focus your attention on the clone that speaks, watch it carefully as it moves 8 times, and then click the clone that you paid attention to. If you did it right, Ky’veza will leap out and start attacking you again.
