Kurinnaxx Needs Urgent Help

Greetings, I’m a member of the now dead server, Kurinnaxx, and this is a message to whoever may hear my plea. Currently, the Alliance population is so small, that the AH barely has any items in it. I have tons of group quests stuck there because there’s no other people around, and getting a group for a dungeon is nearly impossible.
You can imagine how fun world PvP is. I haven’t seen Halaa in ages, got hundreds of powder but nowhere to turn it in. Since maxed profesions are scarce, pretty much the only way a player has to obtain a meta gem is to farm spirit shards in Terokkar dungeons, but capturing the towers is almost impossible since there’s no people. What a paradox, uh?

The worst part is that I receive at least one mail each day from different gold farmers trying to sell their garbage. It’s quite probably that the majority of the Alliance population are now farming bots.

The reasons for the recent major exodus in this server are unknown to me, although, judging by the fact most people went to the same place, and it happened almost at the same time, I suspect some streamer has something to do with it (you know, they speak, people blindly follow). Regardless of why it happened, the server is dead, and it seems that it’s getting deader by the minute.

I know it’s pointless to complain as an Alliance member, but maybe you could open free transfers to Kurinnaxx, in order to at least try to resurrect it? I mean, Horde got what they wanted by crying loud enough, I may as well do the same.

Thank you for your time, have a nice week.

As a fellow alliance on Kurrinax, I feel your pain. I decided to take things slow and level at my own pace so I’m just now 65 on my prot pally. Can’t even find dungeon groups even as a tank. And solo questing is so slow as prot. Unfortunately, we aren’t the only server who have similar circumstances for either horde or alliance and Blizzard has done nothing yet. For as many horde comments I see stating they can’t play the game due to long bg queues, its hard for me to feel sympathy given the situation for ally Kurrinax. I feel for horde on dead servers, but I know they must be few and far between at this point. But Blizzard has decided to focus on same faction pvp than fixing these massive server imbalances and it’s clear it all comes down to money. Horde players will unsub if they can’t pvp. And players on dead servers are giving them money to transfer servers. If they open up free transfers or do something to fix dead servers then those players will cry foul and ask for refunds from their transfers. Therefore, I don’t foresee Blizzard doing anything to fix these issues that are actually making the game unplayable unlike simply having to wait 1 hour for a bg queue. I spent 4 hours on saturday trying to find a group for Underbog and couldn’t. That’s unplayable. Waiting 1 hour for a bg is playable idc what horde say.

Are paid server transfers not open? Are you not able to move off the server if you choose?

Just trying to understand what the request is here. I see complaining, but did not see where there are recomendations to fix an issue.

It’s pretty gross when Horde players, largely the group responsible for these sorts of issues, provide a “solution” of spending money to fix the issues, but God help us if we dare to propose a solution to Horde caused bg issues that does not involve them spending money the mountain of tears is overwhelming.

It’s actually a tragedy because Kerinnaxx was no kidding the best server in NA to play on giving you the legit Vanilla experience and now dude, last time I was on it has 11 people online Alliance and that included me.

I had to leave and I actually stuck it out till it was no longer possible to raid because there is no effectively one online.

If Blizzard were to make all Kerinnaxx original characters forced back overnight and that is where we had to play I would be thankful because the Horde there actually know how to PvP and can put up a fight. Alliance is the same story, or well it was formerly so.

Dark days friend, very dark days.

/salute what’s left of The Mustache Brothers who are still there and fighting the good fight. As for my guild and literally every single alliance raid guild we all left once the two largest guilds made the very server killing choice to pack up and go.

Blizzard is to blame here for allowing mega servers and in turn destroying the best servers in the battle group all for a little monthly bump toward a quarterly MTX goal.

You need to understand. Blizzard doesn’t care. In fact, they want these problems so they can implement their solutions.

Lopsided Servers? Cross-realm. Which will allow them to slowly de-allocate server resources; cutting expenses.

Bots running amok? WoW Tokens [for Classic/TBCC] will solve the problem.

Both solutions mean more money for Blizzard.

They do not want free solutions.

Ahhh old kurinnaxx. What an astounding experience it was in vanilla for both factions. It’s a shame, I wonder if enough of us still have an alt or two there and might be able to put together a once a week raid or pve night where we do some heroics or level up. I’m still in touch with at least 30-40 knaxx peeps , so could try and wrangle something up. Maybe lead a small revival!!

I’m down, I keep many alts there and perfectly willing to ply if there are people to play with. Horde side is also kinda dead now compared to what it was, but still bumpin for now.

Alliance is just so dead. If we could get people interested again maybe we could get the server back on its feet, but it will take a miracle.

the horde population aint huge either, get off while you can

what?

Honestly, I don’t have the numbers, so I can’t talk about it. But if it’s true, then more reason to open free transfers to the server. I mean, I already pay my suscription, I don’t see why I should pay for another service that I don’t even want.

And you may be saying “yeah well, not Blizzard’s problem, it’s a player created one”. So it was the battleground queue, and yet they modified the game in order to solve it.

Please, open free transfers to Kurinnaxx and make an announcement ingame so guilds with desires of moving to a different place know about it, thank you very much.

You’ll need to clarify.

I don’t know if you’re asking ‘what’ in regards to how Cross-realm would “fix” faction imbalances on servers or if you’re ‘what’ in regards to how Cross-realm would reduce server resource usage.

Hey,

I’m hopping in here to try to clear up some of the mystery around why everyone left so suddenly. Some of you may know who I am but I used to be an officer in Mutache Bros back in P3-5 (hey guys.) At the end of P6 there was a very small community of guilds on alliance side clearing naxx. This is because most guilds had died by that point. All of the remaining guilds were unhappy with the size of the server but not all of them were planning to leave. However, Causality (the top guild at that time) left which acted as a catalyzing event causing all of the active raiding alliance guilds to carry out their transfer plans or make plans and quickly execute them. That lead to a mass exodus of alliance players over the space of 1-2 weeks. Ultimately, all the guilds independently came to the conclusion that kurinnaxx alliance was not going to be able to support a viable raiding population in TBC and left.

I am sad to report that this is unlikely to be reversed. Arcanite Reaper is an example of a server that has been empty for most of classic, has not rebounded, and nothing has been done. An additional note: free transfers have been available from the higher pop servers to lower pop servers and Kurinnaxx has not been an allowed destination in the most recent waves, indicating that Blizzard probably expects Kurinnaxx to die as well.

Hope this makes sense and much love from LLC

Welp, the latest census show Kurinnaxx with a 100% horde, give or take. Game became unplayable. Good job Blizzard, thanks for opening the free transfers to our side! You did it!

Alliance member here that Xfered. Top guilds were having issues finding more talent and only being able to rally 10-15 Alliance to try and take Halaa/Towers gets old. Do yourself a favor and xfer to Grobb or Benediction. Alliance Kuri has been playing an entire different game compared to equal servers. The quality of gaming is tremendously better on the other side. Stop wasting time and xfer.

Bite the bullet and transfer. There are many servers in your same position, Blizzard is interested in fixing none of them.

It’s a shame really, but given in your post it’s like you’re playing an entirely different game than the rest of us.

< former Kurinnaxx alliance. Sorry to be part of the problem. I peaced out when tbc dropped. Sad to see that great server dying. Goodnight sweet prince/salute

Pretty nuts that a “solution” is rewarding Blizz for doing absolutely nothing about server imbalance and/or dying servers

Paid transfers have to be one of the worst implementations that occurred because it incentivises Blizz to do nothing about servers in need while those with the money don’t think twice about bailing on their servers at the first whiff of imperfection

But yeah, they aren’t going to merge, free server transfers on or off aren’t going to happen and your only hope is to xfer to a mega server and hope it lasts until the end of TBC.

Even the horde side of this server has taken a massive hit!!! The snowball effect hasn’t just effected alliance it’s effected the server as a whole!!! I want hallal battle tokens it sucks that we can’t get PvP like it was in tbc

Yup, Blizz is lapping it up at the cost of the player base, both figuratively and literally… on one hand they are killing servers and driving many players away from wow and on the other showing big MTX values to Activision overlords.
