But the OP didn’t imply that. It seems to me they’re saying that they’re happy Blizzard didn’t put in another race with a perfect or animal body.
Also, the average size woman in the US is a size 14 to 16, which the KT represents.
Having said that…
It’s interesting to me that the OP thinks the body type is realistic but the faces are not? Not every thicc woman is going to have a face like Ashley Graham so wouldn’t it also be realistic not to be stunningly beautiful in the face?
I think the wording is a bad choice, I think it should read as the “norm” to be overweight, not saying skinny girls are abnormal just saying thanks to our “body to fat” ratio you will find that majority of people are in fact overweight.
What I don’t get is that these women work the docks yeah? Shouldn’t they be built more like Atalanta the blacksmith from Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. She is very female but muscled and a kicka$$ to boot. Now that is a woman I would play! I’d post a pic of her but it might blow your monitor screen. I don’t get why the Kul’Tiras are chubby. We should have more options in size at this point. Even SWTOR lets you change the body shape of your character from athletic to well-fed. You would think after 15 years of this game, not to mention the extra time they put into the race, the KT would have more choice…Oops, I forgot, Bliz doesn’t give much of that anymore. But it would be nice if they gave the KT gals more choice in facial structure, and body type. What if they put a gym into the game, like the Barber Shop? We could have Leg Day, or a chance to work on those flabby KT abs, and let our Large Marge’s get a little more thinned down and buff. Like dock workers should be.
@OP, TBH I think your KT’s face looks fairly similar to a dwarf lady’s. But maybe that proves your point. Anyway, yeah, not sure if they had any women artists on the team. Even if not all they had to do was google “plus sized clothes” for a lot of good inspiration.
I couldn’t put my finger on why I hated them so much until I read this. But this is true. They are all hideous. there are very few choices with all the new races but the few for KT are really , terribly bad.
I’m not shaming anyone or directly telling someone anyone. I gave my opinion on the matter, but wouldn’t tell a fat person that. There’s a difference. Discussion on the forums isn’t fat shaming, even if you want anything and everything against your narrative to be verbal assault.
I just find it comical that every major lore character in KT except for the villain is healthy from a body fat perspective, but we can’t make non-obese characters. Just add a body option like most other RPGs have had since like 2006.
Personally i think the biggest issue with the kt women is the lack of muscle tone shading in the skin texture.
There are fan edits that look better then blizzards work. If the characters are suppose to look like female body builders like say zenya from overwatch. Blizz failed utterly.
I dont look at the average women and see the kultirians. No the average women isn’t a bikini super model either.
Im a 31 year old 6 foot 4 inches geek. Im mostly skin and bones. I have niether excessive fat nor muscle and thats how ive always been. Last i checked i was something like 198. I have basically always been in that middle range.
Of course i have chrones and nearly died at age 18. And lost 80 plus pounds during the whole ordeal.
I don’t pretend to be arnold in his prime ot leo in his 20s. Im just an average guy.
In games, movies, etc. Characters are idealized to super model and athletes levels. Because it sells.
Ideally the game should just have sliders and let us control the characters physique.
I love how you manage to turn a really normal suggestion of “I don’t really like the female kultiran’s face” into an inflammatory “Blizzard has something against fat woman”. You know this is not true, are you just seeking attention to your post?
This is a fantasy game, models can look like anything, but if players don’t like something, it should be changed. As far as “realistic” goes, a lot of people (both men and women) tend to put on pounds as they get older. Another aspect of “realistic” is the idea that it is difficult for many regular people to get and keep the kinds of very fit and thin bodies that models usually have. If you want to talk female models, I would say that many women would be satisfied with the kind of figure we see in the human female model. Don’t know how many woman would be aspiring to the KT female model.
