@Azzah: Spoken like someone who’s never actually SEEN an Obese person.
And has the self-image problems of a teenage girl.

All races only have one model. Which should they choose? Underweight, overweight, or the average healthy weight?
The last one. You know it’s not controversial to say there’s also a good reason to choose the healthy BMI weight-- because it’s the healthiest.
The world and media should be promoting healthy bodies. However, the world should not be demonising unhealthy bodies, in the sense of shaming people-- because that’s mean and often counter-productive in encouraging people to go out and exercise and eat good food.
People play games to escape reality, putting fat characters in a fantasy mmorpg game just to please snowflakes is ridiculous
WHY did you have to make the faces so…well…Manish!?
Matter of perception when I see a Kul Tiran female, I see a woman but that’s just me.
Is you is, or is you ain’t, Kul Tiran…
The way they did the faces makes me down
Hi I just wanted to say I like larger people with larger bodies, as they are cuddlier, sexier, and in most cases have a nicer personality.
That said, I’m fat myself, so if you 30 kilos fatter than I am with a bad personality all bets are off.
Theyre not ugly though, you just have to find xmog / barbershop combinations to make them look better.
Please don’t copy my guildie and run around stark naked. That’s a different kind of ‘undesirable’
Hate to break it to you but that’s as attractive as Kul’Tirans can be, they look more attractive than 90% of actually overweight people. Making them anymore feminine would just look weird tbh. Take a female Blood Elf and give her the body of a Kul’Tiran and it just looks wrong.
Also yes, to a majority of people “big girls (people in general)” are not attractive. Being overweight simply doesn’t look good on anyone. Of course beauty is subjective from person to person, but for a majority that’s just how it is. It’s the same reason as to why too skinny is also unattractive.
In my honest opinion they look fine, hell, even somewhat attractive. They give off the “tough girl” look and feel.
Also “Realistic” glad to know people who aren’t morbidly obese aren’t realistic.
I wish they would have made body size options for all races in the same format you pick your hair colors.
Twiggy all the way to muscular or fat. Its bad enough they tunneled into one basic armor type now.
I don’t know why people can’t get their heads around this.
If someone is carrying the weight of a Kul’Tiran they obviously don’t have an attractive physique, while you would assume the fat would also distribute to the face therefore the person is not going to have defined and prominent facial features and facial bone structure.
They are also ale drinking, New England esque, naval/pirate style society in which they probably have an abundance of growth ailments from parents drinking while they are in the womb, disease, lack of nutrition.
Being realistic i don’t understand why people need everyone to be attractive, the majority of people don’t conform to the concept of attractive, the fact that attractive exists mean disparity also exists.
And if people think attractiveness is subjective then you can’t really call anyone unattractive overall and to others, otherwise you are contradicting yourself.
The double standards are amazing. The males have a belly at least 3 times the size of the females, yet they aren’t considered overweight? Why so awesome? You go on and on about the ‘stigma against thin women and it’s nasty,’ but here praise the males, turning a blind eye to their size completely. How ironic.
Please, this is the problem with social standards in the first place and why women are making these silly posts about needing a TOON, something that’s not even real to look pretty [which it all ready is imo]. You have plenty of other races to wear your skimpy gear on, and hey if someone wants to wear it on a KT…more power to them.
tl:dr
but as islanders, salt usually does bad things to skin
salt AND sun? bad ideia (well, on a vacation, not so much, but everyday?)
so KT are well… realistic
Oh they are a bit over weight as well, but you also have to take into consideration the rest of their body and by comparison, they’re a lot more muscular compared to the females.
This was why I prefered the fan edit version.

The faces and physique both fit the mariner/monster killer vibe better. Also a better halfway point between human and Vrykul.
Next to the male, the current female looks considerably younger, more like his daughter.
