But not all humans are Kul’Tiran good troll though?
Then you and I are just gonna have to disagree.
I think the Allied Races are their story, their racials, their classes, and their heritage unlockables, and you clearly think that the character model is more important than all of that.
No. This is about allowing Kul Tirans to have the visuals they’re shown to have in the game and the same visuals the NPCs have.
Thats fine. You are just also disagreeing with the very way ARs have been added and implemented.
And once again, I have nothing against that. As long as each model is released as a separate AR to reflect the amount of work that goes into each one.
I’m not disagreeing with how they’ve been added or implemented. I disagree that their model visuals are as important as you want them to be.
Why?
Well my stick broke while beating this dead horse, sweet dreams to you all when you get there. Akston keep up the good work, don’t sweat it too much though!
0% of ARs have been released with a 100% copy/paste model with nothing changed. Therefor, its easy to read that changing the model is important.
Look. I don’t know how to respond to these self evident questions anymore without going snarky. And I am honestly trying my best not to be. So I will say it once more, and just drop the conversation and wish you the best of nights.
Three times the work for a single Allied Race is unacceptable, as it is equal to the amount of work as both the Alliance and Horde getting a whole new Allied Race each.
And why should that be a precedent we need to preserve if the races are functionally different from their counterpart?
Is it the model that defines the difference between a Stormwind or Gilnean Human, or their racials and backstory? If the models are that important, then why didn’t the Mag’har Orcs or Dark Irons receive different models?
You could start by explaining why adding a body as a customization option to a single Allied Race is the same amount of work as developing the racials, class selection, acquisition storyline, mount and heritage armor assets as adding an entirely separate one.
Are there three separate mounts? Three separate sets of Heritage Armor? Three different sets of Racials? Three separate recruitment scenarios?
No? To all of that?
Seems to be that you’re projection a ton more work on to the inclusion of a body type customization than is necessary here.
But you haven’t even begun to quantify how adding different body models as customization models is that much work, or any amount of work at all. I’ve asked about player work toward unlocking them and the development of art and animation assets and you haven’t pushed back on any of it.
Absolutely nothing new would have to be made to add an average-build Kul Tiran option, except maybe add different voice lines.
Honestly I’d be perfectly willing to compromise on applying the same Kul Tiran voice lines on both body types.
They’ve never done that with a race; They all only have one model.
Player characters are not "NPC Characters; We also don’t have a big, fat male goblin player character just because their leader looks that way.
We already have the average Human Model, they are Humans. That would be a waste of time, like the Lightforged Draenai; Never saw the point of them either. I could not even casually tell the difference.
Blizzard has shown that Kul Tirans can be large or average.
Are you saying that their precedent with other reasons means they can’t allow this for the Kul Tirans if it made the more in line with their own visuals? Why?
Because it would be 2x-3x the work.
No single AR deserves multiple models to be released at once. It would be unfair.
I agree. Take the body posture options away from the Mag’har. Its unfair that they can choose not to look deformed but we cant choose to be normal human Kul Tirans.
Feel free to point out the work that it would require that hasn’t already been done.
You still haven’t attempted to qualify what you mean by ‘more work’.
More art assets? Animation and rigging? Voice overs and sound effects? Animations and racials? The recruitment scenario? What is the additional work? Explain what you mean or you’re literally saying nothing.
Lets not pretend changing the posture of the same exact model is anything like double the amount of models needed for KT.
Thats not even comparable.
Literally the only work I can think of would be rigging the heritage armor to work on the regular human models. Several normal KT humans have similar clothes already though, so that wouldnt be difficult.
Literally every single aspect of making a model playable.
Normal humans are already playable and have all the things they need.
So you are asking for normal humans, with different racials and class options?
Isnt that literally the entire point of this thread?
