Large Kul Tirans are not descended from intermingling of Drust and Kul Tirans. They were at war and by the time the Kul Tirans prevailed there was only one Drust left.
If that is the entire point of this thread, than I am even more against it than what I previously was.
ARs should bring something new to the table. Not be a 100% copy of what is already available, just because you want to play a human shaman or human druid.
And this entire thread is why KT were an absolute huge mistake to begin with.
Gilneans worked because they’re Worgen now. Which is why they’re most often always in Worgen form-- because Blizz doesn’t want the race looking exactly the same as an already existing one.
KT backed them into a bad corner. Because KT are originally Gilneans who sailed and settled on that island. They couldn’t suddenly change Jaina into a giant chick. So they had to make the Drust-born KT a small population. Which screwed them for this AR.
But hey, people begged and begged for human druids. So this is the mess we now have: an AR that shouldn’t be an AR because it’s not different enough across the board to be one.
The average human model is already playable. It could be given to the Kul Tirans with minimal work.
We want to play Kul Tirans. The vast majority of Kul Tirans in game use the normal human model. Basically every allied race is mostly a copy of something already available, thats kind of the point of them.
Every AR is based on “minimal work”
3x the “minimal work” is still 3x the work. If you wanted them literally 100% copied/pasted, with no changed to how they look, then I am 100% against that.
No.
I’m asking for Blizzard to keep their Kul Tiran characters and world-building consistent. If the NPCs can be average or large, player character should be too.
You are asking to play stormwind humans with kul tiras racials and class options.
Every AR physically is different from what they are based on. You are not asking for them to be changed. You want them to remain the same.
Which is the same complaint we had with Worgen. And why we’ve got this KT mess now.
If you were asking for Blizzard to be consistent as far as ARs and character customization goes, then you would not want them to add in multiple models for the same AR and screw over everyone.
This is no where in the lore. No where in the story as told so far has there been Kul Tirans descended from Drust. This is just fan theory.
No, I’m asking for Kul Tirans that arent huge and fat. They exist in the game. They are the vast majority of Kul Tiran NPCs.
I’ve listed several dozen average-sized Kul Tiran humans that look no different than Stormwind humans.
Lucille Waycrest, literally every Proudmoore, Lord Stormsong, Mayer Roz, Flynn Fairwind, Lord Norwington, Marshall Reade, are all Kul Tiran natives and look just like normal humans.
Why do you insist they need to look different when the game already shows us that they don’t?
You asked for stormwind humans to be copied and pasted over, with no changes. So they can use KT racials and class options.
The entire point of ARs is being able to look different. Thats the entire reason they were added.
That is why 100% of ARs look different than what they were based on.
Yes because thats what the vast majority of Kul Tiran NPCs in game are.
Who is screwed over? Blizzard made their bed when they decided to show the Kul Tirans have having both bodies. They’re not screwing anyone over if they decided to keep their worldbuilding consisting through to player customization.
Blizzard isn’t going to give you stormwind humans with different racials.
End of story.
Everyone that wants an additional AR is screwed over. By giving KT 3 model options (skinny, normal, stocky), that is the same exact amount of work as creating a whole new AR for both Alliance and Horde.
All you’ve said is ‘everything that makes an AR playable’.
Elaborate, please. What makes an AR playable?
