⚓ Kul Tiran PC is inconsistent with Kul Tirans in lore

Flynn isn’t Kul Tiran? Got a source for that?

Racials, heritage armor, mounts, class selection?

Honestly did you listen to the last Q&A? They are already having a hard time with them so lets at more character models because you don;t want to be chubby? Personally, let it be let it all launch.

again this is a gigantic, GIGANTIC waste of resources for something that is already in game. I dont know if youre trolling or not tbh because its still technically sunday.

this is like blood elves unlocking high elves

Have a gander at the wow wiki, he’s a human from Kul’Tiran, didn;t believe it either til I saw others listed as Kul’Tirans. I’d link it but you know the forums, YouTube be ok but not websites.

What devs have ever said that? Last I heard, they said Allied Races were about building relationships with other races the way we did with Nightborne elves and Highmountain Tauren.

Yeah, orc posture and Kul Tiran body types are different, but you haven’t given a good reason why they shouldn’t be a customization option other than claiming different body types means they’re an entirely different race, which is factually untrue.

The WoWPedia said he was in Boralus as a young boy.

Unless you’ve got a source that says he’s not from Kul Tiras, I’m pretty sure he’s a native Kul Tiran.

One good reason, simple enough, to do what you want would push everything back exponentially for you to get a skinny toon. If you don’t like the look, don’t play it. I dislike playing gnomes, a lot do, you don;t see us begging for taller characters.

Nah, look real close he went there as a young boy, he’s a human.

Don’t tell me you’re making the argument that we’d lose a raid tier if Kul Tiran characters had more body type customizations.

Did I say raid tier? No I said this would extend the already time gated stuff even more.

I didn’t say they were a different race. I said they were a different “Allied Race”. In this context, it means they are a completely different model. They require that much more work per model.

Kul Tiras don’t deserve 3x the amount of work over every single other race, just to give them 3 different models.

Allied Races have almost always been based on giving customization options to races already in game.

Thats why you have dark iron that look just like dwarves with a twist.
Mahgar that look like orcs with a twist.
High mountain that look like tauren with a twist.
light forged that look like space goats with a twist.
Nightborne that look like night elves with a twist.
void elves that look like blood elves with a twist.

They have always been about the models. Its their entire point. We get more ARs regularly compared to a “full race”, because they use models in game and give different customization options to models typically already available. The lore was just a way to implement them into the game in a way that sometimes makes sense. Because what relationship did we build with dark iron/maghar in BFA…for example?

And yes. I gave a good reason. Its 3x the work for a single “race”. That is unacceptable.

Each “version” of Kul Tiras would have to be released as its own “allied race” option.

Flynn Fairwind is a human from Kul Tiras. First line

You guys are getting that in the form of racials for zandalari soooo?

That is not even comparable. While I think that particular racial is strong and a bit weird, its not nearly the same thing. They are giving all ARs from BFA strong racials. Unless you are a brown orc that is.

Well I mean your argument is different models but we have to wait for more AR for more racials where as zandalari get a list that would be comparable to having that many allied races.

But overall I look forward to leveling a chubby druid. If you dislike what they have to offer so much you don’t have to make one. No need to downgrade the work they people do. If you really want to push this there is a submit suggestion button built right into the game.

I don’t see how this is a meaningful distinction other than how you obtain them. Allied Races have a unique set of racials and class selection. I think you’re making a bigger deal out of their differences than is necessary and I don’t think it’s a valid argument against why Kul Tirans shouldn’t have body type customizations to make them more consistent with their in-game presence.

Not really. Zandalari Trolls and Darkspear Trolls are entirely different offshoots of one another.

No one’s saying to downgrade anything.

What’s wrong with having the choice? With more customization options?

Maybe I am poor at communicating, because that is not anywhere close to my intended argument.

This is not about the potential racials for skinny and normal sized Kul Tiras. It is about the amount of work of x3 models being created for a single AR, and how that would be unfair to release x3 the models for a single AR at a single point in time.

x3 models for a single AR option, is basically equal to a whole extra release cycle of both Alliance and Horde getting another AR.

Yes im just saying playing devils advocate KTs getting different body types but having the set racials is kinda comparable to zandalari being one allied race with a list of racials.

By the way, how much more work is there really? The work for the base human model is already done. What makes you think it’d be such a demanding load just to add the base body model as an option for the Kul Tiran player character?

I have nothing against Kul Tiras having body type customizations.

I am just saying every single body type customization should be its own allied race.

Tauren had a single horn customization become an allied race. 2 additional models is a much much bigger deal.
