Why not? This seems like an arbitrary metric to stand by if the Humans have different racials and class selections. How would that harm the game?
Man am glad I actually had a game to play today instead of spending 17 hours defending fat shaming.
…
It’s not arbitrary. It’s an entirely different frickin race.
I’m out.
I’m not fat-shaming because I’m not saying the Kul Tirans shouldn’t be larger.
I’m just saying it shouldn’t be the only option because Blizzard themselves have done very little to give any indication that the larger size is actually important to being a Kul Tiran because they’re few and far between.
I would have preferred it if larger Kul Tirans were the majority of the population.
them having average body types would be absolutely stupid beyond belief. an allied race that looks like the launch race. thats just… wow
Why not allow a choice between the average and large sizes?
Only if there is a choice to have the Chinese models for playable undead (aka, no bones sticking out)
And for the record, I want a choice of body sizes for all other races, too.
But the Kul Tirans are the only race where the vast majority of their own races characters look different than the playable character, so I think it’s important to bring it up since Blizzard’s already made the conscious choice to show that Kul Tirans can be of average or larger sizes.
because the average size already exists as a playable race. making an allied race that looks exactly the same, literally exactly the same makes no sense.
they should have the fat model, and the tall scrawny model
Even though most of the NPCs look that way?
I dont see why the Alliance should get double the amount of ARs in a single update.
If you want to argue a future allied race slot assigned to Alliance can have this…fine. I guess. Seems like an extremely boring and non creative option though, considering all the possible options there are for ARs.
Honestly I would kill for the super skinny Kul Tiran models, sick of my casters looking like body builders.
No one is arguing this. I’m just arguing for more customization options for the Kul Tiran PC.
Asking for 2-3 different models is exactly arguing for this.
If you want “normal” sized Kul Tiras, that is a different AR than “stocky” Kul Tiras. If you want “skinny” Kul Tiras, that is different model from both “normal” and “stocky”.
Each model would be viewed as its own AR, considering how extremely different they are from each other.
So they would have to be viewed as such. I mean…the differences in the “normal” and “skinny” and “stocky” models have a larger difference than the highmountain-> mulgore Tauren and Lightforged -> Normal Spacegoats.
Orcs have posture options. Does that mean we have four orc races?
No, I think this is wrong. If they had different body types, but had the same racials, classes, unlock requirements, heritage armor, and mounts, they’re the same race.
More customization options does not make them an entirely different race.
Only male orcs have those.
What you are asking affects both male and female models.
That’s probably fair.
I personally look forward to the new body type, Flynn is definitely human though, not a Kul’Tiran, was proven wrong by my man.
As for the silhouettes, Orc, Pandas are also pretty huge. Not seeing this as a valid why we need skinny ones argument.
Blizz it’s nice for you to release something new our side.
Oh come on. Lets not pretend the posture options are anywhere similar to 3 completely different models. The posture changes the same model. You keep the same model. It does not create multiple different models which would be required for Stocy, Normal, and Skinny Kul Tiras.
And unfortunately, ARs are based on body types and models. You can think they are the same race all you want, but you aren’t going to get triple the amount of models and have it released as a single allied race. It may make sense Lore-wise. And I am not arguing that. But from a gameplay perspective, they just aren’t going to release 3x the model/rig options for only one race.
If there was a Horde counterpart that also was released with 3x the model options. (and no, skin tints of mahgar are not the same thing), then that would be something to work with.
yes. it makes no sense at all. they are npcs.
why would you unlock whats already unlocked
