⚓ Kul Tiran PC is inconsistent with Kul Tirans in lore

No one in here is even talking about wanting more elves…

Except you can’t always, and in the only types of gameplay where that distinguishing matters, it’s either not important or not the dead giveaway.

It’s easy to tell when one Pandaren is Horde and the other is Alliance because one will have a red health bar of it. The game’s own interface has faster ways of telling you which is which. I also made the point that the visual differences become so minute in most situations that they’re imperceptible. I’m not hanging my hat on just being obscured by transmog. Visual differences are not the only, or most effective way of figuring out which elf is a friendly and which isn’t.

Then why are so many Kul Tiran NPCs regular-sized?

I said nothing of the sort on this. I said that its unfair to only give a single allied races multiple body size options. I just disagreed that the silhouette issue you have with races shouldn’t openly give you three body types to choose from.

The same reason that Gilnean NPCs can look like regular humans in game. Its just the PCs that are forced to be Worgen “most” of the time.

point at all the damn High elf talk Leave my fat man Dream alone, I want this, Don’t take this away.

Why is it unfair when Blizzard has already presented what Kul Tiran can look like, especially when the vast majority of them do not look like the actual player character’s options?

Orcs haven’t been represented with a variety of body types like the Kul Tirans, just to have that option made unavailable. The only race that doesn’t have a body type seen on other members of that race are Trolls, and there’s actual lore backing as to why there are trolls that are broader than the playable Darkspear trolls, which comes down to what kind of troll they are-- forest, frost, or jungle.

Can you name any other race where the vast majority of visible NPC members of that same race have an entirely different body type than the playable character of that same race? If not, why should that remain true of the Kul Tirans, rather than allow them to have an option for both?

I don’t want to take it away. I just don’t see why there can’t be two options.

Not to me, because I don’t use those nameplates or health bars. I hate them and it makes Pandaren a pain in the butt to know who is who.

:face_with_raised_eyebrow: Uh… no. Highmountain horns are pretty prominent. Blueberry elf changes colors. Dark Irons are ON FIRE with glowing eyes. Those aren’t subtle differences to me.

Humans are the only small human form. Blizz screwed themselves with KT because the race isn’t old enough to have been purely Drust blood, not to mention Jaina’s family.

Learn to read. It was used as an example of why KT can’t have the smaller human form. Not a whine to put them in game.

Also lack of reading comprehension. No one ever said to take them out.

I did mention above that the Highmountain antlers are hard to miss.

But there are so many face-obscuring helmets in the game that cover up those red eyes. Visual queues are not that important, and if they were, they’d have been made so that you could distinguish between Dark Irons and regular Dwarves no matter what.

Too much to read so little time, I will have My Boss of the sea and there nothing you can do about hahahahha

Yet not the skin color or flaming beards…

Purely opinion. I believe they are.

No one is taking away anything. He wants to add more body options.

If you’re going to participate in a thread, please at least have some clue as to what it’s about. Thank you.

This still doesnt give enough reason for the team of developers to do it. Why should one race get 3 sizes when its not even a core race? Its preferential treatment and unnecessary as a gameplay option because all your body size issues are fixed as soon as you just roll a regular human. No reason to give only one minor race tons of unique options when the solution is player handled, roll either a human, or a Kul’tiran.

A lot of armor hides the beards and can cover up the skin entirely.

Here’s an example of how this can be done with the Orcs.

I want to make sure I understand your point.

Despite the fact that Blizzard themselves made the conscious decision to express the vast majority of Kul Tiran population as a certain size, Kul Tiran player characters should not have the same visual as a customization option because:

  • They’re an allied race, so not as important as a “core” race.
  • Other races don’t have the option for body types

Is that right?

Well written, with valid points and good examples…

+1

Unfortunately, will probably be buried and ignored. But hopefully not.

And you’re still missing the point. Because the armor doesn’t matter.

You can’t have two races look exactly, pixel for pixel the same.

The female Kul’tirans line up with regular humans for animations. Such as combat and death.
