⚓ Kul Tiran PC is inconsistent with Kul Tirans in lore

Can’t have normal looking humans. We already have those. You’d never be able to tell the difference.

Drust blood wasn’t common so you’re not going to see as many NPCs of the larger ones. And I don’t even know why there are skinny ones.

They did a poor job with this. A very poor job.

The same reason we dont have thin dwarves or fat blood elves. Its not how they are supposed to be.

Roughly 75% of the KT population would say otherwise

Go back up to that list. I point out how many normal-sized Kul Tiran characters there are compared to the big ones

Blizzard has actually shown that more Kul Tiran characters are regular sized, and especially the prominent ones (all members of House Proudmoore, House Waycrest, and House Stormsong that we’ve seen are normal-sized humans).

This isn’t me saying that this is how Kul Tirans should be. This is me pointing out that Blizzard has already shown us that Kul Tirans look like something you couldn’t do with character customization.

My husband wants to play someone who looks like himself. At 6’0" 125 pounds he’d definitely be a thin Kul’Tiran.

behold, the beautiful, chiseled form of the pointy human. This is the body type all wish to have. feel free to ogle it with your eyes as long as you like, blizzard should take note.

Youre not without choice, just not the ones you want. There are regular humans to choose from and the larger Kul’tiran allied race to choose from, thats the choice given to you.

Expecting all the options in the world for everything is expecting too much. But from your posts to this point you wont be convinced no matter anyone says.

Its only a problem when youve made it one.

I’m not going to play a Kul Tiran because I main Horde.

I just don’t think that it’s reasonable to restrict the Kul Tiran player character to one size after the observable lack of prevalence they have in their own story.

I ask again, go back up to that list and look at how many more normal-sized humans there are that make up the Kul Tiran population than the big ones, and tell me why you think it remains reasonable not to let a Kul Tiran player look like one of those characters.

Sounds like a night elf to me

Can we just get rid of all the races that are not super pretty, perfect body type with everyclass available? We could keep blood elves as they are. Give void elves blond hair and pink skin. We could make gnomes taller. Dwarves thinner. Humans thinner (since so many on here think regular humans are too fat as well).

Mary sue for everyone!

If Blizzard had put forth the effort to making the bigger Kul Tiran shape the more common, more prevalent body type for the story, I wouldn’t be making this argument. But they chose to give the vast majority of the Kul Tiran NPCs and leadership the average body size.

When Blizzard’s the one showing us that big Kul Tirans are actually the minority, why does it make sense that it should be the only option for a Kul Tiran playable character?

I also dont think its reasonable to give body size options to only a single Allied Race simply because not everyone on the island is the same size. At some point you will have to balance lore with game play and fairness, giving three body size options to only a single sub race doesnt fit.

You didn’t read my post at all, did you? Because I addressed how the gameplay argument is a flimsy one at best. How is it a matter of gameplay balance that the Kul Tirans should only have one body type?

For the same reason we don’t have High Elves: they’re too similar. In the KT’s case, they’re exactly the same as the current humans we have.

Allied Races have to look somewhat different. The problem is that Blizz did a poor job of implementing KT in the first place. Not the story for them, so much as the fact that you’ve got thin ones with no backstory and large giant ones that arent the prominent half breed.

Trying to put KT in to begin with was a bad idea because of this issue.

Yes I read it and no, you gave your view on it and I disagree with it. Simply reading your post again wont suddenly change my view on it. Its a perfectly valid reasoning to me.

I’d concede this point if there weren’t Allied Races on each side that already invalidate this point. Between the Dwarves/Dark Irons and Orcs/Mag’har, you can pretty reliable cover them up with transmog in ways that make them indistinguishable from one another.

Looking somewhat different is clearly not a design goal that needs to persist at all times, only some of the time.

Would you care to elaborate on how character silhouette remains a relevant factor in balancing gameplay?

I just wish the Alliance got a unique and good looking allied race. I wish Kultirans were Vrykul :disappointed:

This has nothing to do with what happens with transmog. Stand a DI and Dwarf side by side, you can tell the difference. Stand a Belf and Velf side by side, you can tell the difference.

Stand a normal looking KT and a human side by side… they are exactly the same.

Its not about silhouettes. Otherwise Worgen would be able to stay in Gilnean form for as long as they want. Blizzard wants Stormwind to be the only regular humans in game.
