Korthia is not for casual players

What else is there for an open world person to do except korthia in 9.1? I mean WQ won’t scale into 9.1 unless I’m mistaken so all you have is korthia, torghast, and dungeons/raid if you decide to dip your toes. And you get this currency in abundance from literally anything in korthia.

It is entirely for casual players.

I would know, I wouldn’t call myself casual at all and my character is already higher than anything I can get from there, so if it’s not for casuals, who is it for exactly?

It’s just another timeless isle, a method to gear up easily without actually playing the group-focused part of the game. Nothing there is required, play as much as you want or don’t, whatever, it doesn’t matter.

a raid it give 226 , is less then 233 , haha world quest WIN world quest is a goodgears delete heroc raid mystic raid mystic dungen pvp , WOW classic is so good is funs as it give reward to alot pepole dont gotta be tryhard , can do any thing u want , WOW regaler it have a bad balanse , and u gotta do tryhard if u wanna get goodgears

INC conspiracy theory:

Some raiders on my server have been camped out every second Korthia has been available, and some are at Archivist tier 4 rep level or above already. They say are hoping to grind for sockets and conduits before the raid is even released.

Perhaps Korthia was never meant for bona fide casuals after all, and the devs want the raiders there grinding for sockets, conduit upgrades, and upgrades for unlucky slots, while try-hard casuals can grind for gear all day. (No offense intended to any individual group.)

I wish raiders could get everything they needed from raiding, and world content could be designed for the players that actually enjoy it.

I just want to gear up my army of alts, but sadly Korthia will not be the best place to do that considering the grind. Even my main may be too busy for that.

Some casuals will have to pick 1 or 2 “mains”…and have less grander goals for the alts.

Not a hardcore comment, casual myself. For korthia I will care most on the VE hunter and the BE DH. for 9.x these are the mains. My system is each faction gets a main who gets more stuff done and alts are on milk run stuff.

Grand goal is see what this welfare gear rants are about and see how much welfare I get lol. If good to make legion heroic/mythic at least so I can do a few bosses ( I know full clear is not till then end) not hating life well then maybe later I will expand the korthia care crew a bit.

With so many alts if like me remember one thing. 9.2 or 9.3 is the real no muss no fuss gear catch up. The void close to BFA was so much gear just in quests anyway.

I’m a solo casual player and I love Korthia. I have no problems with it taking awhile to get higher ilevels. It’s pretty similar to Benthic gear in how it is upgraded similarly. I like it that way.

I don’t need the gear because I don’t do content above LFR, but I still enjoy the solo progression it gives me.

I personally would never have asked for this rare and treasure grind, out of all the potential ways they could have added alternative progression to the game.

I would rather that they increase world quest rewards or add gear rewards to Torghast. At least with world quests, you can travel around the zones and target specific slots, and with Torghast there is potential for challenge.

With Korthia, you are either waiting around for spawns, running frantically trying to tag a rare before it goes down, searching aimlessly for mawshrooms, or trying to get a group together for a rare than can’t be soloed. People are desperate for new content now, but after many months will find this boring and repetitive.

Rhetorical question, but would YOU want to spends countless hours to gear up this way?

Oh what crap.

Seriously, the fix was Titanforging, and they removed that fix at the behest of the raiders.

Making gear progression take exponentially longer and be massively grindier isn’t going to make casual players “grateful.” Be serious. That’s just another version of the EXACT THING raiders complained about when Blizzard tried to sell the idea that getting massively less loot in raids was “more rewarding.” And now you’ve drunk the kool-aid and are handballing the same crap to casuals.

After doing things such as the Endless Proving Grounds, Challenged himself by soloing World Bosses, and completing The Mage Tower, I believe Raiding and Open World Content should be two entirely different things, in a similar way as PVP and PVE.

The player’s choices in their talents and states are entirely different from what other players would commonly choose when it comes to raiding.

I also believe gear dropped from World Content should be best for the Open World while gear dropped from Raiding and Mythic + should be best for Raiding and Mythic +

Peak GD casuals.

It’d be funny if it weren’t so predictable.

Hey OP, you forgot:

  1. Stop with the randomized gear. Just sell each piece at the vendor. I don’t want to waste several thousand Stygia to send gear to an alt just to end up with five belts and a cape.

remember how this kind of thing is exactly what i was complaining wow DIDNT have and i wanted it back? and now we have a huge casual friendly patch and i don’t feel forced to do high end content at all. will likely do stuff on this lock, but my alts are being leveled and will have fun out in the world- where they belong.

Rhetorical I know, but no because I don’t enjoy that type of content. I want to kill bosses and loot gear.

I don’t choose to ignore the main endgame systems.

I’m not a big fan of raiding but since the domination sockets will help me, I’ll raid.

If PvP was the best source of gear, I’d do that.

If WQs gave me an early advantage, I’d do that.

If standing on my head while farting gave me 259 I’d do that.

You either do the content to get the rewards, or you don’t and you just don’t have it?

I’m happy to partake in activities that aren’t my favourite part of the game to help me excel in the parts that I enjoy.

These systems are what people who choose to completely ignore the three pillars of endgame should have.

It gives progression to a point where it’s non-competitive with PvP, M+ or Raiding and doesn’t end in like 2 weeks like the Covenant gear grind did last patch.

There are people who want M Sylvanas tier loot for doing jumping puzzles, but they’re not ever worth trying to satisfy, because despite 233 being equal to M Denathrius/SLG loot, it’s not good enough because people who do content they choose to ignore have better gear.

I’m a casual and fine with this. There’s nothing that says you have to grind all day every day.

I liked Benthic gear as well. :woman_shrugging:

My only problem right now is the treasure chests. For some reason they disappear right after appearing, even if no one loots them. Then reappear moments later. They seem bugged.

i’ll never have gear like you do. and i never should. i don’t have the natural aptitude you do. my thing is… i like spending time grinding out currencies and getting decent, but not great gear, on 3497589345 alts. i finish one and start another. it gives me a sense of fulfillment relative to the fact its a video game. like you get from mythic raiding. you could do that on as many toons as free time allows you as well. so if you have 5 toons with 500 ilevel or whatever that’s totally fair. i can have 5 toons with normal raidish ilevel. we spend the same time doing it, and we both have fun, but given the amount of prep and scheduling stuff and how skill intensive your stuff is you SHOULD have much better rewards. to think otherwise is to be delusionally entitled.

I’m down with designing content for the hardcores, tbh.

What exactly is a “casual” though?

a casual is a bad player who has an out-of-game excuse that nobody in game can verify or confirm.

Whats more casual than running around looting shinies and ganging up on rares?
