I had about 4 pieces of relic gear after 3 hours there the first night and got at least one just doing the 3 dailies - so I have 6 pieces now. I’m not sure why that’s so bad. You want to have max level gear for the content in a day?
My peeve is more that the other zones still give lower level gear. If they really want people to play all the content, then they should increase the iLVL of the gear rewards for those world quests to be at least 200 though not upgradeable. This way some can easily catch up, but Korthia would still be the place to go for the relic gear.
This is exactly the kind of people Blizzard needed to throw a bone to.
I’m here to raid, and do m+. I can get my AotC/KSM and be perfectly happy unsubbing, but there’s a whole of people that don’t do that, and have hardly anything meaningful to do.
Yep - 3 quests was quite the major time commitment.
If I only played 3 hours a week I would unsub since it means I don’t have much time for a game. If I decided to remain subbed I’d realistically understand that I wouldn’t have as good or better gear than those who run higher content or play more. That’s how WoW has always been.
It basically hard caps every day, so no… You can’t just keep farming within any reasonability. Do your 3 dailies, catch a few rares and you can call it without missing anything.
It’s a bigger crime that drop RNG can put some wildly ahead of you with the Archivist’s Codex with much less time and effort involved.
That is my strategy as well. I have mains with each covenants that gear up to LFR or a normal. Second group are any additional professions that need to get to 60 for the recopies. Third group is just vanity alts. So far I have 8 alts up to 60 with 4 more to go.
Like you I am not too worried about catch up. Upcoming patches will have plenty of nerfs and welfare systems. Just like prior xpacs.
And none of that content is anywhere near the levels of coordination needed in a raid for the reward offered. You casuals wouldn’t understand this if we boreholed it in to your dunderheaded skulls.
I’m pretty casually looking at the map periodically looking for rares to spawn while I casually do a lap around the map for some treasure while I casually fortitude buff everyone I see.
Seems pretty casual to me. In fact, majority of the players would say this is far too casual for them.
Next week some of the rest of the things to do open and I’m assuming more of the story too. Casually do these things while you casually check the map for rares to spawn while you casually do a lap around the map looking for treasure while you casually decide today is not the day you want to do the torghat or go to the maw.
You realize in a way, you’re complaints are kinda sounding like the Mythic whiners lol - sorry. Casual and agree somewhat. I think they confused “a legit pathway to gear” with this! Which, honestly was laughable when I first read it.
So, here we go. I really don’t care anymore about my gear level. Usually someone will accept me in a norm or heroic dungeon
I just started running an iLvl 140 mage through. It feels a lot like classic having to eat and drink so frequently But the gear comes pretty quickly and as you said there are so many people pushing through now.
I’m extremely casual. I play this game a few hours every week or 2 (or 3). I’ve always got plenty to do. I feel like if people didn’t play this game like it was their job they’d have a lot more to do when they logged on. Korthia has been super fun for me. Run around, kill some rares, do some new quests, picked up some huge gear upgrades. I dunno how people expect to be endlessly entertained when they play every day.
Sorry but that is extreme overreaction to his post.
How about why are we basically rewarding players for socializing in a video game vs those who don’t want to socialize in a video game. Let’s be honest! The hardest part about mythic raiding and high keys and high end arena is finding a consistent group to progress with. The actual content is not any harder than most other content.
You know perfectly well what he means. There are numerous players who ask for world content to drop raid level gear. Stop pretending like they don’t exist. If easy korthia isn’t dropping high enough gear for you then you then you need to do the more challenging content that drops it. It’s really that simple. The game design isn’t going to change no matter how many of these whine threads you guys make.
Hardest endgame content equals having a schedule available for group play with communication. Nothing like the mage tower or slower gear progress through random pvp exists anymore.
If you asked me right after reset…I’d say you were wrong.
My ve hunter had a fun run there…besides that one quest with small animals and even smaller spawn rate. I hit 100%…that one can rot till later, if then even.
It was the dh who went later…
Very few chests caught, no rares and lots of riding about. Only good news is I found enough so far she should 100 by tuesday before reset and 2 daily resets. 61 percent so 2 days of 24’s clear. Maybe I will run the DH Saturdays reset tomorrow since the hunter is “done”. has her 42 renown anyway.
this…yeah…this is not fun. Looking like I stay up 0100 my time most days since apparently the daily reset hits 2400 my time are best shot at stuff. Flying can’t come soon enough to not have to do this.
