Korrak's revenge is a complete travesty

You guys got it RIGHT the first time… scale everyone up/down to level 60, and put everyone on a semi-even ground. Now… however. the scaling is FISHED***. It’s completely pointless for anyone not at max level in PVP gear to queue for.

Yeah the scaling is so broken on Korrak’s, which is a bummer because I really like it. Honestly I love the epic drawn out games because you actually talk to people and engage, and the PVE stuff to help move things forward helps provide stuff to do

I knew something was up with it, I’ve got around 900k hp in PvP and I queued for Korrak’s today- I had no idea lower/leveling people could queue for it. Makes sense why I saw so many people with HP pools between 200k and 1000k~

For the life of me I cannot understand why blizz doesn’t just make it like the original. Even the XP boost wouldn’t matter as all the sweaties have already leveled a couple toons of every class by now. So it would mainly be casuals enjoying the levels. As for those using ‘twink gear’ maybe just adjust the scaling. Is this really that hard?? They could be drawing a lot of people back for this event if they let it be FUN.

Scaling issues have been reported since this years event began. I don’t understand why Blizz doesn’t consider this issue worthy of a hot fix. Right now unless you are level 70, only stealthers can contribute to their team. As even a level 25 rogue or cat druid I can stealth into their base and sneakily cap a tower or taunt off NPCs so that someone else can cap a GY. Hunters/DH can still reveal stealthers with flare or Spectral Sight. But other than that I feel useless in matches as a lowbie. I still play them for Marks of Honor but sad that this previously wonderful event has fallen so far :frowning:

I agree with your take that only stealthies should play, and only for reconnaissance and other stealth activities. Minimum level is 20.

There is no scaling. Click on a player and you can see their health bar. A level 20 of mine with heirlooms and random other gear has an ilvl of 37 and health 1646. My level 70 in honor gear has 1500k health. 1000x difference. That can’t be an accident, has to be intentional. But everyone’s plate says they are level 70. Does that count?

Blizzard wants to say they are providing content for everyone in this event. But they don’t actually want to provide content for everyone.

YMMV.

Korrak’s at max level is really good (far better than reg AV).

For anyone below max level, it is a joke.

The ilvl scaling + the XP gains made the first Korrak’s crazy fun for alts.

I’ve said before, during the first Korrak’s I saw a level 15 draenei disc priest on an heirloommobile healing successfully.

Korrak’s is a lot like that Children’s week achievement they removed, where players were expected to enter a bg and do things that were contrary to the team’s objective of winning. In Korrak’s Revenge, there are a lot of players who have never done a bg before, let alone AV. All they want to do is kill Korrak to complete the quest. Half the first team to get to Snowfall graveyard wastes 10 minutes there and 15-20 minutes getting farmed by the other team on the way back from the graveyard. So people who want to win are screwed.

The person in the other chair who used to do mythic raiding but now plays Albion online observed that Blizzard likes to design content that pits players against each other with competing objectives, which is not limited to PvP.

In previous years I used to tank the tower/bunker elites at 25 with support from other low level heals. NPCs one-shot the same 25 now.

The first year I did it on a lot of characters. One was a 39 twink who was guarding a tower and killed a max level rogue trying to ninja it. Since they were using templates, twinks could queue. Now they can’t queue and get into one.

just level up? i mean leveling is so fast nowadays cant zoomers just go to warlords of draenor questing 5 hours

36 alts under 60… leveling them all might take a while.

I do Korrak for Marks of Honor once a year since it came out and that’s about it.

Do I need 36 alts?

Nope.

Does anyone need to play WoW at all?

Nope.

Should Blizz make some sort of effort to scale Korrak AV as they did every other year?

Well, that’s up to them, but it might be nice.

Why wouldn’t they not want to hotfix it?

I didn’t have much time to play when the event started but did this past weekend. I had remembered it was really good xp amlnd thought i would work on some alts. I seem to remember the xp being alot better and and even on a low level alt being able to put up a fight.

Atleast now i know i am not crazy and others remember it being better.

You aren’t wrong at all it should be fixed. Unfortunately there is a lot of low level and even current content that needs tuning fixes as well. Like all heroics are too fast at the moment, most low level dungeons are mindlessly easy. Almost everything outside endgame is broken in some way.
