Korrak's Revenge AV. LF Ally to Quene with that want to win

Looking for people willing to queue up with me before the AV event starts. People who are willing to work together as a team. Even if we don’t succeed I at least want to feel that we’ve given the horde more than a turtle fail.

the rant
Ok. 3 days of doing this 15h a day lvling all my old cata twinks. I’ve won 5 as ally. I am sick to death of this “learned helplessness”, lack of grouping, lack of strategy. Of the 5 games I won, 3 of those there was someone directing things in a sensible strategy.
Only about 6 times have Stealth units bothered to tag team towers. Only once has any serious effort been made to backdoor the RH (we rolled the horde hard when we did that).

2-3 groups of 3-4 people could do SOOO MUCH DAMAGE working together. I am sick of begging, and pleading at the start of matches for someone, anyone (depending on my class) to be willing to work with me.

What the vast majority of alliance don’t seem to understand is they will need to defend if they want a chance at winning. By defend I mean they’ll want to backcap bunkers and slow/prevent horde from gaining GYs (rez points), and certainly they’ll want to slow horde from crossing the tears-inducing bridge into Dun Baldar.

If you don’t have an alliance team that’s willing to defend properly, odds are you will not win on this map.

I’ve been in only a couple good alliance wins where folks were willing to defend well and at the same time have a slow but competent offensive push. Granted, in both cases I think the horde teams became impatient/ruffled which only helped the alliance cause.

Currently I’m still enjoying playing it on both sides, but haven’t had an alliance win in a few days. Basically I am shaking my head at the end of ally games. So much PvE uselessness. lol

im down dude. waterbottle#11605 add me

this is the toon i play on

oh we killed you a lot tonight.

Why does it seem like horde doesn’t have to clear as much as alliance in this?

Even the games I’m in where alliance keep stonehearth/icewing defended until TP/IBT burn and break any turtles at frostwolf the second the alliance hits frostwolf and has to start clearing NPCs up to the south towers is more than enough time for a small group of horde to almost effortlessly get stonehearth/icewing and move north to the bunkers.

The shear amount of time that wall starting at the frostwolf GY village eats up for the alliance is insane, the horde seems to meet no such wall, is this all in my head or are there alliance NPCs I’m not noticing that come even close to to the southern section of the map.

OK, so I played some on a baby ally and horde were absolutely terrible. Got three easy wins in a row. Mainly because the terribad horde didn’t defend. They also seemed to have trouble capping before we did even though they tagged SHB before we tagged IBT due to the map imbalance, lol. I dunno what was wrong with the horde, but maybe they were mostly former alliance faction changers.

Anyway, maybe it isn’t all doom ‘n’ gloom for alliance. You just need really dumb horde to play against and all will be swell.

Is it possible to merc and join with bnet ally friends as a premade ?

No unfortunately. You can try queueing at the same time tho.

Also I don’t think you can merc on brawls

Hmmm too bad .

I don’t think the old AV is classified as a brawl though .

No, you can merc into it just fine :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

If you’re NOT Horde mercing this to speed up the mount grind you’re doing it wrong  - you’re literally leaving like 50-70 badges/per day on the table. Do the daily quests on Horde, go merc mode, do the same daily quests again on Alliance. Easy.

You can queue with an entire 40-man premade in the Classic AV.

We do it a lot on Horde. Every night, even.

I have a friend calling it the av brawl and just assumed it was a brawl instead if an extra BG.

That’s nice to know though for when I finally get on to do the mount grind.
