Koraks Revenge/AV of Olde Mount

Anyone else annoyed with the issues surrounding this mount/event, this year?

First Koraks Revenge is removed, due to it not working in the updated PvP interface.

Then after they add it back in, it does not display the appropriate win items or track progress towards the mount. Also, after obtaining all 200 badges for the mount you are not rewarded with it, but you can still get the achievement.

What is the devs solution to this issue, reset all badge counts and have you do it all over with a bonus objective tracker in AV.

Why do I need to redo what I have already done? I am literally wasting money/time in a subscription to redo this now.

Apparently even players who have redone the 200 badges since the hotfix are still reporting it doesn’t grant the mount. So I wouldn’t even bother at this point.

Well that isn’t good news, but thanks for the heads up. Time to unsub if this is how things are handled now. Don’t know why they are so worried about just connecting the mount to the achievement. Who cares if people use alts to get it faster, when we will all move on to prepatch next week.

Still bugged for me one of my toons, it doesn’t even show up to be queued. One of my retail 60s that did it last year cannot this year.

Seems that Blizzard thinks that since it is account wide then no one who did it before wants to do it again but that is wrong.

For anybody who isn’t aware of these things:

  • The xp sucks.
  • The scaling is awful for levelers. Anybody under 60 will be one shot.
  • You can’t do Dinner Impossible in there. Put down a great feast in regular AV.

Yeah they really dropped the ball on this one, kinda scared to see what the expansion brings.
Did the work, got the Achievement, but not the promised mount. What really bothers me is no blue explanation of this. New low for me with this game.

I wish they would bring back the scaling they used when it was first introduced.

Thats because the achievement doesn’t give you the mount.

You are wrong. If you go to collections, under mounts, look up the mount. You will clearly see that it is an achievement mount.

Sorry, it is you who is wrong. If you go to the support article about this mount, you’ll clearly see that is is NOT an achievement mount.

It hasn’t been an achievement mount since 2020 bee tee dubya.

Notice that says only 14 hours old. They CHANGED it. That’s the problem.

No they didn’t. People have been talking about it since 2020 on wowhead.

Unfortunately, that article actually did say that the achievement granted the mount up until the edit they made last night. 2 days ago, in the official anniversary announcement, they also said that the mounts were explicitly available from earning the achievement. Last night, they also edited their initial announcement to not say this - but the problem is that for several days, all official information dictated that it was an achievement mount.

So, it’s good that their information is now correct, but it wasn’t for several days, and that’s the point of tension for a lot of people, I think.

Then why are they patching it now if its been around for years?

Note: The Mount Journal incorrectly states that these mounts are awarded via achievements. This issue will be fixed in a future patch.

Go read wowhead. It’s been per-character progress for years. That wasn’t “patched”.

The problem is, even when 200 TW badges were earned on a single character this year, those characters did not earn the mount. So there was indeed a bug keeping people who followed instructions from getting their mounts, and Blizzard did indeed drop a hotfix last night - it’s on the front page of Wowhead - adding a bonus objective to fix it.

I’m not debating that. I’m debating the silly “the achievement gives the mount!” nonsense.

I (and quite a few others) did this and earned the achievement. They then said it doesn’t count and we have to do it all over again. That’s the problem.

Wowhead isn’t an official Blizzard site so I don’t care what it says.

Apparently you don’t care what the official Blizzard statement is either.

I do care, that’s why I’m here. They changed the rules days into an event which is completely unfair to those who spent hours working toward an achievement only for them to say:

Any badges earned prior to the November 10 fix will not count as credit toward the quest, and must be re-earned.
