Title says it all. To kite an npc down, around, through, over, next to, adjacent from…any terrain, while using potions, or ingame items, or spells specifically aimed at making the player take no damage for x amount of time…that’s all within the rules of the game.
So when an NPC is swinging at a pally who is the only aggro target, and that pally bubbles himself to avoid damage for a short amount of time, that’s called kiting.
If the same pally were to walk into UBRS, and pull General drak, run to the beast room and bubble until the adds were killed by the rest of the group, this is considered kiting, not evade bugging…
Don’t really care about PvP. I’m doing the rank 14 grind for my BiS gear for a PvE off-spec I rarely, if ever, play. That said, I still slaughter countless Hordies in the process because you guys love to turtle.
I definitely believe you.
What do you call the people who kite them in a totally different direction then? Are they also bugging the warmasters? Are they doing it intentionally?
Nope. No changes.
And who determines what is in the spirit of vanilla? You?
It’s more “no changes because the entire point of Classic was to recreate vanilla and that’s how it was in vanilla, for better or for worse.”
But sure, spin that however you want. People who want to preserve the integrity of the project solely want to do so to exploit it for their benefit. /s
No idea - i havent seen them do it. I usually see this strat.
Really?
Looking Ahead
All the work we’re doing will ultimately allow us to recreate an authentic classic experience on a platform that is much more optimized and stable, helping us avoid latency and stability issues. Additional improvements will include modern anti-cheat/botting detection, customer service and Battle.net integration, and similar conveniences that do not affect the core gameplay experience.
We are looking forward to the challenges ahead and share your passion for the classic game; every code check-in data conversion we make brings WoW Classic closer to providing that authentic experience you—and we—want. Thanks for joining us on this journey.
