Why do quest givers have such a long respawn time? They shouldn’t even be killable outside of war mode.
Because it was a stupid idea to even allow it.
The “rationale” is that an enemy may kill a quest giver to provoke a PVP encounter with other players. Of course, that rarely happens. Most of the time the enemy kills the quest giver over and over and people trying to level to stand there not being able to advance, and nobody really “responds” in a PVP way.
People have repeatedly asked for this situation to be fixed in some creative way. Faster respawn, a cooldown for killing the NPC, something. But the devs have done absolutely nothing about it. If somebody repeatedly kills a quest giver, it is technically zone disruption and you can report them, but blizzard does not do anything about it unless they recieve multiple reports.
I got tired of this and actually moved to a different server where I am able to generally level in peace without quest givers being repeatedly killed.
Well CRZ is a thing, so moving servers doesn’t help.
um, if they arent killable then WHY DONT THEY GO SAVE EARTH INSTEAD OF US. sorry i like my games to be realistic.
ok right after we get rid of raiding bann all addons get rid of all dungeons ind phazed bgs all pets all mounts so on so forth
in other words NO learn to deal with it.
Builds character
I just levelled a mechagnome hunter on a rp realm in war mode. 10-50, took 25 hours /played and I went after multiple rare pets. I saw maybe 10 other alliance players, total. Zero horde anywhere. It was honestly nice and relaxing.
Killing quest givers outside of war mode is just griefing. If I wanted to world PvP, I’d turn on war mode
Make love not war
what happens if we $^!$ the quest givers?
It’s honestly cuter than I care to admit.
Make them lvl 75 elites that hit so hard that they can 1 shot anybody.
so what you’re getting at is we should just watch them commit a bannable offense?
it’s zone disruption
report them
maybe blizzard will do something
Levelers have indeed learned to “deal with it”. And the most effective way to deal with it, given that there is no way to get help from anyone, is to quit the game and find one where the devs don’t let players prevent other players from playing the game.
So your strategy of minimizing leveling has been successful! Gratz?
My singular biggest complaint about War Mode is that there’s still PvP outside of War Mode.
I’d even give up the “PvP” zones that we had in Legion for PvE servers for this.
Leaving PvP “possible” in PvE simply keeps all of the dark side of PvP that PvE players hate. For many PvE players, warmode didn’t “solve” anything.
Well if it is a faction based NPC, it will flag them. Just because you are not on war mode doesn’t mean PvP can’t happen, it just means you are not forced to take part.
Agreed. They should be neutral or just untargetable.
Guess you have a problem with every single neutral NPC then.
Here’s somewhat a creative idea, if they are near a dead NPC questgiver, they can still turn it in to the dead NPC, but with different dialogue instead.
This person here has appeared to be killed recently, but regardless, you’ve come to the conclusion that they have something you wanted if the task was done and they already have them in their pocket.
However, out of kindness of your heart since this person isn’t your typical enemy here, you only get out a leather pouch that has a specific amount of gold and one of the many rewards this person apparently has off of them.
It’s not like this person can come back to life now, can they?
It’s been that way since…forever.
Nothing has changed, nor should it.
It’s all PvP.
