We’ve all done it.
Riding along some path and here comes a member of the opposite faction.
He’s 30 levels lower then me
If I just hit him once…he will die and has no chance of fighting back.
It will be like pushing a infant down the stairs.
Yep we’ve all done it, most of us didn’t feel that great about it afterwards so we don’t make a habit of doing it.
HOWEVER:
There are people who play this game who spend hours every day killing defenseless players. Players who have no chance of fighting back. Blizzard considers this PVP. To the people who have actually played this game we all know this is the farthest thing from PVP, this is simply “Griefing” by not allowing other people to play the game.
Those of us that play classic vanilla have a category in our U.I called “Dishornorable kills” and I can promise every single player shows a Zero in this category.
Killing another player who has no chance at fighting back needs to be tracked and these stats should be made viewable by everyone.
There are decent, honorable players who deserve all the accolades for engaging in PVP combat.
And then there are players who spend a majority of their time engaging in dishonorable kills. These players don’t deserve titles or respect, they are cowards and bullies and should be recognized as so.
A dishonorable kill involves killing another player that is 10+ levels lower then you, who has no chance of fighting back. Lets start tracking this behavior so the real sadists of our community can be recognized. Most of us enjoy engaging in PVP and most of us know that killing someone more then 10 levels lower then you is not PVP, it’s toxic.

So, like instead of an honorable kill or dk counter, add in an “honorless kill counter”?
That would ironically encourage more ganking, so people can show off their bigger player card number.

You were killed recently by the opposing faction and it didn’t sit well with you did it?

No actually I was one of the 60’s who showed up to deal with the problem. Killed the culprit (who was also a 60) dozens of times. Once we all left the loser went right back to killing lowbies who were 30+ levels lower then him. Every one of his kills imo was a dishonorable kill.
And I knew there would be a commenter like you. Guys like you always show up, on the forums, in game. You’re all very toxic.

I am offended sir/madam. I have NEVER pushed an infant down the stairs and I feel many others haven’t or we’d see an epidemic of infants ending up in the hospital or dead due to stairs.

I see a trend starting here with the people responding
Coincidence?
?
I’m just here for the drama, by players like OP who can’t deal with pvp on pvp servers.

The best way to curtail “Toxic” behavior is completely ignore it. IF you record it , those people will wear it like a badge of honor. I saw someone in BGs who had hit rank 14 and then accumulated thousands of DKs. It seem like a baffling way to spend time BUT people do weird things. ANYTHING the game keeps track of becomes the next number to grind.
Being ganked is a good life lesson, some people are jerks.

So… you want to control how OTHER PEOPLE play the game. Got it.
Are they a player?
Are you a player?
Sounds like player versus player to me.

While it does suck, that is part of the danger of playing on a PvP server. You are literally at war with the other guys.
Just remember when you’re high enough you can return the favor!

It’s not against the rules, and I’m not condoning it.
Pvp happened on a pvp server. If you don’t like the ruleset, go play pve.

I mean what if it helps test the structural stability of the stairs? Or even the baby? Could we just use another baby for that like smashing one against the other to see what one is more durable?
This is a saoa reference btw.

That’s not at all what he said and you have a very weird fixation on ‘being told what to do’.
He suggested tracking dishonorable kills as including ganking honourless targets. That’s not stopping people from playing the game how they want.
True enough. I read between the lines a bit. I’m allowed to do that, you know.
Tracking behavior is the first step, then you penalize it, then you ban it altogether. Clearly that’s his endgame.
First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist…
