Kidnapped in mythic+

I have joined a group, seen they wanted to carry a “friend” aka a fresh 80 and then left before the key even started. But sometimes if they’re already in the instance, you don’t notice unless you inspect them inside. Unless it was titled “carry run”, I leave if it looks like a carry run. Plain and simple

So you could have left before it started? huh. boy these ‘held against my will’ troll threads sure are some kind of fiction.

It’s not technically leaving a key if you don’t enter the dungeon. Next time inspect after joining/making the group and don’t go in before inspecting.

This too. ^

I’ll take things that didn’t happen for 500, Alex.

Although I can absolutely believe a tank from Moon Guard would be wearing healer trinkets.

No they haven’t. They just did a ban wave of specific people who had been habitually trolling others by bailing on m+ groups.

Healing trinkets will proc group or self heals on a druid tank, so unless they’re a DK, DH, or warrior it’s prolly not as big an issue as you think. Unless my bear cannot keep aggro, or if she needs a significant dps burst, healing trinkets that proc on my hits or self heals work just fine.

Found the problem. You didn’t just run with friends or guildmates. Random runs are like taking someone home from the bar. You go home at 2 with a 10 and wake up at 10 with a 2.

The suspensions that Blizzard recently discussed for people leaving keys is only for the most egregious offenders. Leaving a key here and there will not put you near the cutoff point necessary to earn a suspension.

not picking on anyone, but I read the CS forums for the “I got banned for no reason posts”.

sometimes they are funny and sometimes it’s over the top ranting.

It’s like reading a 1980’s Jerry Springer episode sometimes.

other times players really did get a false flag and I feel bad for them.

OP if someone really did get into your group as tank wearing healer gear and said all that I would report them, and I’d put them on ignore.

If I played m+ I wouldn’t want people wreking my fun either.

I would have left also.

Like others have said, 1 time isn’t gonna get you into trouble especially if you have a report on why you left.

I mean yea i used to inspect everyone when i joined keys, but even when you do the key and it fails whats the big deal, why are people so afraid of that lol , its a game … dont tell me its a waste of time cuz playing wow is not being productive

This, in addition to GMs being able to check chat logs, should dispel the fear of being kidnap-threatened, but too many people are afraid of the word “report.”

I’m a little curious to know how long the ban is for.

If I am in keys, I want crests. Getting 5 crests for a failed key is a joke, and it frustrates me. So I don’t want to be in a group that isn’t going to time the key.

Lol …all I read was you wanted a key done and u got a key done … Not sure what the problem is. In your words it took 40 minutes to complete. So what’s it normally take a group of equal gear for equal key to complete a 6? 25 - 30 mins? So you spend a measley 15 more minutes in a dungeon then you wanted to and you think this is evidence that bans for mythic + leavers shouldn’t exist? Sounds like you got to comfy rolling out on keys when they didn’t go your way.

This … This sums it up. The complete lack of giving two craps about anyone else but yourself, especially if it’s not even your key. I understand if your 5 mins into the dungeon and there’s a few wipes or enough evidence that the key isn’t getting timed. However, ive seen this same mentality used at the last boss with time on the clock to justify their leaving. The complete lack of empathy for the rest of your party, pugs or not, is astonishing in a game that revolves around group activities. Grow up.

I don’t know… I think it creates a time paradox. I did a key with over 40 deaths before and although the timer said it was only about 10-15 mins more it felt like days had passed.

Nothing will happen. Blizz has made it crystal clear that they will only punish leavers. You can try at least though since it don’t take long to file a report, just don’t expect anything out of it.

Here’s hoping they crack down harder. 5 quits in a week = suspension, with each suspension longer than the last until either the behavior stops or the player is simply no longer able to participate.

This read like serious RP and im laughing my as off

I was just kidnapped in a mythic+.

Group leader is demanding 500k gold for my release. Will anyone pay the ransom?

I agree as long as it comes with interrupting less than 5 times, dispelling less than 15 times, and doing less than 1.5 million overall DPS = suspension.

One death from avoidable damage also = suspension.

In any single key.
