Kick should lock all schools

I kicked a mage and he was still able to cast? I’m seriously baffled that blizzard thinks this is okay.
If i kick a greater pyro for example, they can get free poly’s off and even if my team mate kicks the poly they can start casting ring of frost.
This is just one example of why classes shouldn’t have multiple schools. This is a game breaking issue. please fix.

Kick a greater pyro -> mage casts poly -> my partner kicks poly -> mage casts ring of frost

now my team has no kicks and my healer is in cc anyways, mage casts greater pyro

How about just not having greater pyro?

Kick locking one school isn’t the problem. That’s the whole point behind having spell schools.

You think you want kick to stop all schools, but you really don’t.

Enjoy getting locked on frost and not being able to CS the poly on your healer.

Yeah disagree. I actually think the problem is shimmer + greater pyro

Remove/nerf one or the other would do a lot I think.

Locking Mages has always been bad news. It used to mean they couldn’t CC your healer, or someone else. Now it just means they can freecast a ton of damage as Fire, or Ring of Froat. If you lock Shadow, they can’t Disperse or even heal, they can only shield, which is torn through immediately. That’s how being locked should be; there should be a bigger risk.

I don’t agree on the whole “entire” school lockout, but there should definitely be more punishment for locking a Fire Mage. There’s more of a hazard to locking out a Mage on the wrong tree, rather than a Mage being punished like the rest of the casters for being locked on their main DPS school.

This is partly what he is getting at. Most classes have drawbacks. Some classes, typically the same classes that have always been special bois (hunter, mage, rogue, druid) don’t get the same drawbacks that everyone else does.

It’s a problem, and needs to be addressed.

If a firemage’s great pyro gets kicked, it should lock them out of polymorph for 10 seconds. Period.

This is the issue really. Shouldn’t have three schools of cc in db,ring,poly. Most classes have one maybe two.
