Key trolling

yeah lets also punish people that puts up keys that are clearly way to high to what they should be running. they obv got carried to that +7 or +8 and have no reason to be there. so once the key gets burned the key holder should get a week ban so they can learn from their mistake.

They will drop ilv of delves rewards and make them inline with normal mythic and vault maybe a +2. If you have played wow for a while you should know this is probably what they will do.

When have they ever lowered the item level of rewards in the middle of an expansion?

Conversely they could just increase the difficulty of delves to match their current rewards, perhaps with affixes to prepare players for the M+ experience. With Brann capable of tanking in S2 they’ll have more options without heavily impacting players.

That would be awesome if they did ,but which option is cheaper to do if you get what i’m saying.

Relative to other content? All the time, they nerfed dungeon drops back in DF.

Item levels will go up next season. Is it so hard to visualize how they can make new season delves rewards lower in comparison with season one?

Compromise then — you talk about which option is “cheaper to do.” It would be cheaper to just make the top delve rewards come off t10s in S2. Both increases the challenge to players and doesn’t “cost them” any extra development resources to move the drops to a higher tier that already exists.

Although I think since they’re making two new delves with Brann’s tanking ability in mind, they can develop new challenges and easily add those mechanics into existing delves.

They can do so many things but their record in past points to easy, fast, cheap option. I wish they prove me wrong.

There is a funny youtube video of a group of people who do the opposite of trolling/griefing, the 4 of them find a player in LFG that has a terrible rating and invite them into what they think is a +2 but in reality its a +10 but it takes a while for the victim…um… target to realize it and they make it through and the guy gets all the rewards
and rating for a +10.

I’m sure it made his day. We need more people like those guys in WoW.

Just make m+ queue like delves already.

You unlock the level, you unlock it on every character, you do the level, no deplete bs, no drama over people leaving because they got a hair up their nose, or at least less drama.

Just do it already blizzard, the keystone system is the major reason why people are pissed about m+.

Whenever I try this technique on my tank and healers it never works. :frowning:

Left a weekly+10 earlier because 2 of the dps cant press interrupt in mist, and both of them are 608-610-ish ilvl

If theres a penalty leaving in pug m+ then the game should tell me in the most obvious way that the pug leader wants to ninja boost his friends before i apply to his group

Don’t fool yourself. The real reason this game is ‘toxic’ is because players have been playing this game for 20 years, I myself 18 years. We’re all older and have no time to be rainbow pony friendly… we got stuff to do. Wasting others’ time is ignorant, and expecting everyone to waste our time FOR YOU is top tier ignorance.

Listen, I only PUG. I can tell by the first pull if it’s gonna be a ‘can we make it’ run or ‘this is doomed.’ I leave the ‘this is doomed’ every time. One death we push on, two push on. A wipe on the first pull? You obviously have no idea what you’re doing.

It’s not trolling if someone leaves your group because you played poorly.

Was on my shaman. +3 Stonevault. Tank is 595i, Most of the group was between that and 600i. Readycheck. Key in.

Tank Throws shield on first pack, uses horse into the hallway, pops wings, pulls the entire hallway with divine toll. I throw down cap totem to stop fears. Mobs are going everywhere. Healer doesnt know what to do. Tank dies, Releases runs back in, while running back in, everyone else dies, tank tries to continue the pull, we run back, tank is out of CDs full wipe.

I say in chat. Its a +3 and we arent really geared for that kind of pull. Please play it a little safer. Tank says, ok following route. Shields the first mobs, horse mounts, pops wings, runs into the hall again, throws divine toll, pulls the entire hallway, dies again, group wipes.

I drop group.

Join a SoB +3. Group is 600i-605i. Ready check. Key in. Tank goes running in spamming swipe and thrash, pulls first pack, runs up the steps, pulls the pack there, back pedals into the mobs to the right you skip. DPS is pulling aggro, as the tank ran past the mobs without continuing to damage them. Tank dies. Group wipes. We release, rebuff. Tank goes running in again, pulling and trying the same pull. We wipe. Tank says, guys we are following the route. Why are we dying? We say its a +3, smaller pulls that we can survive. Tank goes running in again, pulling everything.

I leave.

I have also been in groups where we are on the 2nd to last boss, or even last boss, and have a wipe. We still can time the key. But, someone says, gg and drops group. Effectively wasting 30mins of time + the 20mins of finding a group.

There is a mix. While there are absolutely reasons to leave the group. There are also people who will just leave to be jerks. If you are going to pug. You will encounter both.

I’m one step ahead of him. I’ll just continue to do delves and continue to not worry about my item level regardless as to what he does.
:ballot_box_with_check: mate

Even though I agree it’s awful people leave for what I would call a stupid reason, I don’t think blizzard will go a punishment route. They might, but that would require GMs to be viewing thousands (probably more) of reports daily over people upset at someone else, not this automated stuff we largely have now.

I will still continue to say that it’s high time the “key” itself is removed and the font lets you choose key level. Would still sting if someone trolled your key, but at least you wouldn’t have an hour or more effort to get your key back up to where it was.

5 days or 5 business days?

Because it will be rude to ban people over the weekend, you know.

Ion can nerf delves all he wants. It still won’t get us to switch to m+. Anyone stupid enough to think the people who switched from m+ to delves did so purely for gearing reasons, clearly never actually played m+ or knows the fact that m+ already gives out higher tier gear in greater quantities and with more upgrade currency.

There is literally no reason to nerf delve rewards.

There are things that blizz can do to attract players back to m+, but we all know they won’t do them. Things such as:

  1. Delete the key depletion mechanic.
  2. Nerf the affixes.
  3. Nerf the dungeons.
  4. Reduce button bloat for certain specs.
  5. Nerf the timers.
  6. Undo the key squish.
  7. Revert the tank nerf.

Etc.
