Honestly if somsone leaves a M+ key for no other reason then it not flawless they need a 5 day ban from the game.
This crap of somsone bailing on the first pull because of a death or any other reason and they kill somsones key they need to be punished. The game is toxic because this crap is allowed.

I’m on the EU and if I see cyrillic letters in the party roster I don’t even bother. My last M+ I ran, that I can remember was back in DF a 8+ I think and it was going perfectly, not one issue. Then the cyrillic gut starts lecturing another guy about some talent and it turns into insults and eventually the cyrillic guy leaves, just like that. Imagine how petty these people have become, it wasn’t even the guy’s key, it was mine, but he decided to ruin it all the same. This is a sick community.

The trick is so join as many keys as possible, kill the first boss and then leave and join another to do the same. You get credit and loot if the remaining group goes on to finish the key without you. Obviously though this only works in lower keys. And it’s not against any rules so you don’t need to worry about getting into trouble as there’s no reasons you can’t leave group.

This seems reasonable. But a little soft. It should start immediately, then on the next weekly reset it should continue until the following reset.
That sounds about right.
No, people can leave a group if it’s going poorly. /thread

People will just pull their ethernet/reset their routers to avoid it entirely lol.
Also, it’s not toxic to leave a group. You people need to go outside.

Just don’t play M+
Let it die or get reworked when blizz sees the data
Ion said he will mess with delves next season so we have to do m+.Allegedly.
That’s definitely not what he said.

Translation: “There are still far too many people playing the game. This needs to be stopped, and Blizzard should ban everyone who isn’t willing and able to carry me in my key.”
Between what he said and the sort of changes they usually make, this suggests that is what will happen.
Pugs are why I put in the effort to find 8-10 folks I can always play with. 10/10 would recommend.

Been happening as far back as I can remember. Remember people trolling in the beginning of BfA M+ dungeons.
I have had a couple runs this week where the tank does the big 4-6 pack starter pull and then the group wipes, probably with +2 or 3 extra deaths because it’s right by the door so people release and try to come back.
I don’t blame people AT ALL for leaving with a start like that.
Realistically, if the rest of the run is clean, you can still do it in time. But it basically frontloads the entire run’s worth of failure into the first 60 seconds, which is ROUGH, and trusting the group to be perfect after such an opening is kind of silly.
Leaving halfway through because the group messed up once on a boss and caused a wipe is kind of crappy.
Leaving at the very end because it turns out there’s not enough time to kill the last boss is incredibly crappy.
Leaving 1 minute in because the group instantly wiped on nothing is reasonable. It’s just asking to waste time to stick around for that, especially if what you’re actually after is score or even crests (since you get more than double for timing).
Not to mention, if you want a completion run, you mark it as a completion run. So many people don’t mark their runs in this way specifically because they KNOW less people want to join that kind of run, then get upset when someone doesn’t want to do a completion run after failures happen.

No.
You don’t get to keep folks hostage just because you are upset that someone didn’t carry your key. And before you reply, do note that I’m currently doing my rounds of getting my 10s done. One of my keys got nuked so I ended up with a +9 NW. I hate that dungeon so I run it as little as I have to and no.
Just because I had the unfortunate bad luck of having a hunter troll my group by refusing to do their part, making the tank leave … No. I don’t get to dictate that they have to stay.
Toxicty stems from a person’s mentality, mindset, and intent.
I can understand the reason for someone leaving a group because the group cannot perform at the player’s wanted level. However I cannot rationalize a person’s opinion of “I want to be able to hold people hostage unless you do as I want you to do” as anything but the mindset of a toxic individual.
If you want to “solve” the toxicity in WoW, start by not going “I want other players to get banned because I’m upset.”

People are doing this in 10s as well, but later in the dungeon. They stay for about half of it then magically have internet issues and fake a few “DCs” before not coming back. Interesting that the first half of the key, they had no issues but suddenly key is 50% and they disappear.

Man imagine being held at gunpoint in a key that’s doomed to not only be a deplete but not completable

You must not be versed in art of Ion lawyer speak.
In the interview, Ion pointed out that folks who progress their gear through Delves then try to use M+ as their way of getting more crests to upgrade their gear. And a player going from a Delve 8 shouldn’t treat a +7 M+ as their entry point.
If you got anything else than that from it, you clearly didn’t read anything of the interview and instead made a bunch of weird assumptions instead.

So it was a mistake to push players into delves for gearing by making it impossible to progress from normal dungeons into heroic dungeons? Who could have guessed, eh?
I definitely got the impression that Ion is planning on making some changes based on his observations. I don’t think he’s expecting the players who made this shift to suddenly git gud on their own. Don’t you think Blizzard is going to make changes? If so, what?
