If classic has shown us one thing The way we think an expansion is going to turn out Not written in stone The game hasn’t changed true but we As players very much have and so has the amount of information we have in the world.

Ok There’s a very big Difference between cata and Shadowlands aka The longest raid ter in history.
Shadow lands Launched wen naxx Classic Launched The second rate tear of shadowlands didn’t happen Until phase 2 of tbc so On top of that with all the other grinds and borrowed power systems.
There’s a reason why it got the nickname chorelands It had some good ideas End some bad As far as the story goes let us not talk about it.
Say what you want about cata But at least you knew who death wing was Maybe not the whole story but you knew enough Now I will say The jailer was a better end boss than Death wing as far as the fight goes.
But honestly it took so long to get there a catapult pointless at the end regardless And yes they did fix them at the end But no they are not even remotely the same thing.

because the devs put polls in game for players to vote on andthey have to reach like 75%+ on a decision whether or not it gets added. i honestly doubt that there are many things, if any at all, that we could definitively say 75% of the players want.
I’d argue Wrath was when they began catering to the masses. We have Classic to prove it. Game feels dead compared to vanilla or TBC and that’s with my server being a mega now. Game felt more alive with 8k players on server than it does now with double that.
And very balanced.
