Keeping Wrath servers alive/NO CATA

Cata is closer to wrath than it is retail. People fail to understand this.

Moving wow to unreal4? You’re joking right… Why so it can look like every other generic mmo that has come out since with its awful and stale combat system?

Wow was built in their own engine so they could make things like the combat feel so incredible and fluid, who cares about the graphics not being realistic.

You would lose a lot of the loyal OG members if they kept the WOTLK servers alive too. There would be no more progress, and they’re not going to put effort into making WOTLK + with new content for being level 80.

And then there’s also the people that DO want to move onto Cata and even MoP. Perhaps you don’t, so I hope they keep a wrath server open for you and those like you, but it’s going to fracture the population regardless. You can’t keep others hostage for your own enjoyment of the game. They (we) will leave precisely because we can.

can we just skip over and get to MoP or legion already? Lock in at legion, or add demon hunters to wotlk

This might actually help than hurt the game. Honestly the rest of the post is a waste of key strokes.

Blizzard will do what they want with wow they own the copyrights.

They might as well just make cata than do this. Most people that wants to spam dungeons play retail. New content for wotlk would require new raids at minimum.

You do know the WoW engine can produce better (read more realistic) graphics and it is an active choice in not doing that right?

Eh, not my idea. The WoW playerbase as a whole no matter what they like would benefit Granted it won’t happen because it would require that they put together 1/2 more classic-sized teams and a retail-sized one. So money they can’t spend so they can keep buying bobby mansions.

Also, I imagine figuring out a workable client for such a monstrous project would be annoying.

Please don’t talk in my name. I want Cataclysm Classic !! And all your suggestions are really bad idea

Are you playing wrath? Games 90% raid loggers. There isnt even any PvP guilds on the PvP server lmao. It literally couldnt get worse than this.

You got your xpacs wrong. Pandaland caused a mass exodus and then warlords put the nail in the coffin. Only bad thing in Cata was way too long in dragonsoul which classic would fix.

Anything pre-Legion can be considered “classic” at this point. Legion is when they really screwed the pooch and decided to turn WoW into some wannabe Diablo-for-noobs mobile-esque abomination.
I’d play Cata and MoP classic. Hell, I’d even play WoD classic because pvp was still good and the gearing was the best it ever was. WoW died the minute the Legion prepatch dropped, and it drives me crazy how many people simp for that garbage xpac.

Even then, WotLK’s sub counts showed a clear plateau which continued on into the first year of Cata with only minor decreases (it is noteworthy that at this point, the game was nearing 8 years old and people who played back in Vanilla were probably grown up and had jobs come Cata)

Cant wait for every arena team to be RLS

Cata > that mumbled garbage you just proposed :joy:

This.

Cata is the beginning of them introducing changes that really started to kill the WoW experience.

There’s a reason that’s when the drop off in players began.
