That implies the community is mostly junkies, criminals, and children. My experience is the community is mostly mature adults. Give me a needle and I’ll just throw it away. I have guns and haven’t used them illegally. I’m diabetic and in the last few years I’ve had to change my whole diet. The first rdf run I did I couldn’t heal anyone. I was like wtf, I know I’ve been gone a while but I used to be a pretty good healer. Turns out they were all flagged for pvp and I wasn’t. But the group was very nice. They didn’t realize the problem so didn’t tell me to flag. But someone in the group said they would heal and they offered me the option to use a dps spec or just continue along doing the best dps I could. I was surprised at how nice they were.
It is good to remember that the forum posters aren’t at all indicative of the overall game community. I come here mainly for entertainment.
Yes, it’s not at all indicative of the wider wow community. I don’t follow blizzard announcements so I come here to get info about the game. But it’s often entertaining as well.

I had been going over possible reasons he was kicked. Nothing more. I was actually kicked because of this very reason back in cata. But i asked why. I didnt assume.

If you ran the dungeon daily with me last night, I apologize for flying off the handle. You didn’t deserve it.
Blizzard also took out the gate to the dungeons from the original. You had to have a certain GS to get into dungeons. With that gone, people just trying to jump ahead.
That hasn’t changed. You have to be at least 210ilvl to queue for Gamma.
Which is acceptable, full circle.
The nearly 3000 post thread we are both in right now seems to indicate there is some disagreement with that statement.
This is the same playerbase that is responsible for weaponising the in game report system. The same playerbase thats gone out of its way to demonstrate time and again that it will use whatever means of griefing it has at its disposal against complete strangers purely for their own amusement.
And somehow people are STILL surprised when that behavior isnt just crushed as it deserves to be, but is enabled, coddled and REWARDED WITH MORE TOOLS TO DO SO that it gets worse and worse.
Its actually about the playerbase, not the tool. The tool isnt like it was in Wrath, but its the players that are spearheading what is happening.
RDF is fine. The deserter debuff for being kicked is not.
These two statements are contradictory. It cannot be fine if a function of it is fundamentally not fine.
Also, heres why it ruins the entire system: the existence of RDF and Deserter means that if you leave things as is, you have the exact problems you have now.
If you make changes to deserter, thus removing the ONLY player inflictable punishment (and thus most likely the ONLY punishment) for griefing/poor play/infinite afking… you reward and enable intentionally bad behavior by removing the only obvious check against it.
If a system only has “bad X way or bad Y way” as its two options, the system is fundamentally flawed. Which comes back to…
We knew it was a broken system. We tried to warn you. You didnt care because you wanted to make WoW a lobby game. You and others like you DEMANDED that what is widely accepted as one of the worst features of retail be forced on this community. Your short sightedness and refusal to look at the potential abuses RDF enables all because you didnt want to fly to instances or spam trade is why this exists.

It was NOT a broken system. Originally in Wrath there was no deserter debuff for being kicked. But apparently Blizzard just can’t leave well enough alone.
It was and it is. If it leaves loopholes for exploitation on such a publically known and widely abused level, it is a fundamentally broken system and you know it.
You defend it purely out of stubbornness/arrogance and you turn a blind eye to the glaring failures of RDF’s implementation simply because you want WoW to be a lobby game.
RDF is broken. It has always been broken. It will always be broken and can never be “fixed”. No matter how much whipped cream you put on 
itll never be pumpkin pie.
We warned you for YEARS and time has proven us right. We never wanted to be forced to group with faceless, deafmute bots that half the time malfunction and 25% of the time maliciously sabotage the actual players for their own amusement and you people demanded we be forced to to cater to your laziness.
