Not only that but tanks shouldnât be one shot in a leveling dungeon. What is the point of a free weekend return for inactive WoW Subs starting this weekend if scaling is broken across the board in old content?
All we have to do is wait for returning players to see and play it themselves and they will flood the forums with complaints.

Why is it a good thing?
No player character today should be able to solo the Lich King or any raid boss. The player characterâs power should be around the same level as it was at the max level of classic. The only reason you were able are able to solo them is because of borrowed power in the form of power creep.
In order for you to keep having a carrot to chase in the new expansion, the power level increased overall, making all your current items useless. However your items should never have been made useless to begin with, they should be able to be competitive items on the new expansion. The progression made in new expansion should have never been power related.
Because of this mistake, players now feel entitled to solo old stuff, when the correct response would be to either cap the level and item level of anyone who got into the raid and preserve the original drop rates of the items, or just stop increasing the power and making older items useless.
The correct way to farm old items should be to get your guildies, form a raid group and defeat the old content doing the old contentâs mechanics. If a raid becomes too mangled because of the new expansion it should be closed down and all rewards moved to another place. No items should be unobtainable, ever, you paid for them, you bought the previous expansion. New expansions should not be built destroying the previous ones.

But even if you are top 1 dps , you still need the other 19 ppl to contribute otherwise you wonât bring the boss down . So theoretically its a boost. 
Inorder to prove you did not get carried you would have to solo the raid and also not take part in the players economy. That is if you want flask you makes them your self , you want gems you unlearn alchemy and learn JC and so on . No trade action from lvl 1 to max should be among players.

Yep which still doesnt explain the hard lined stubbornness on transmogs and things like warfront gear. Doesnt make sense. They are are have been about manipulation of the players though, just as you say. Problem is, eventually, people WILL see through it and push back.

Old content got buffed for no reason,
and it is not better on beta.
Legion is at this point three expansions ago, thereâs no reason for this.

i have dozens of other games i can be playing so nah i think ill take my money elsewhere where iâm respected.
Another fun option would be to scale all raids to max so that we could do all content as if it were current and get max item level gear from it. Especially for those of us who didnât play every expac it would give us a chance to play them as they were on release. Or add some raids to rotation the same way they add dungeons in the mythic rotation.
