Kael’thas should return to the blood elves

At least he could meet Lor’themar once and tell him that he did a good job as leader so far.

I don’t think that will mean much coming from somebody who did a notoriously bad job as leader.

Anasterian telling him he did a good job would likely be a lot more meaningful to him.

100%. Lor’themar (and in a perfect world, Rommath) deserves to see their Prince. For closure or to berate him, either one’s good.

I would love for Kael’thas and Lor’themar to interact. I think it would be fitting for Kael to give Lor’themar that final push that others like Rommath have suggested and Quel’thalas once more has a king.

Thrall was always destined to kill Deathwing.

Just look at the canceled Lord of the Clans game, Thrall gets eaten by Deathwing and blows him up. That was before Deathwing got actual development beyond “big evil dragon is evil” in WC2: BtDP.

It is a shame though that blizzard regressed Deathwing back to that in Cata.

He’s the one character I hope catches a rez. I’d rather he be a neutral though, and serve as a Khadgar-like figure for both factions.

I will be extremely disappointed if he doesn’t get to interact with them.

I love the idea of Kael’thas coming back. Just not as leader of the blood elves. He would be excellent to have around to help Lor’themar.

I will accept Kael’thas returning on condition that he is anointed our head envoy for the Horde.

The smug bastard would do a good job at it.

Definitely hope not. That would be insanely cringe. He does deserve a redemption ark tho. But his actions where due. If anything it should resolve Lorthemar’s worries of a next ruler for the blood elves. I’m hoping is Liadrin at the end of the day or someone related to Anasterian we don’t know is alive yet.

I can see it now.

Kael’thas with Lanathel wrapped in his arm, eyeing Jaina when the leaders of the Horde and Alliance meet.

Can we keep the bringing back the dead to a minimum please. Vol’jin is already flagged and currently the only known ‘natural’ why back is via Ardenwald through rebirth and that didn’t seem for normal mortal souls.

Yeah there’s only gonna be two resurrections

  1. Voljin, will become New Rezan
  2. Almost The Entire Night Elf Population™

I’m so mad we’re losing Rezan.
Rezan was cool.

Maybe they’ll fuse together and we’ll get T-Rex Voljin with skulls and gold

This.

I’m a huge fan of Kael, but I’m not a big fan of resurrecting all of the “greats” from across Warcraft’s history.

We got Grom and all the “warlords” of Draenor, Kil’jaeden and Archimonde, Kel’thuzad has even come back once before, Kael came back, Illidan came back, etc etc.

With the rate that Blizz is senselessly killing off Horde characters, they need to be building up a new generation of heroes instead of going “Look who we brought back this week!” Alliance too, tbh.

I want them to stop dragging up old characters (and then ruining them) and just give both factions new characters that are given consistent opportunities to both grow, and remain relevant.

Gotta disagree.

On principle I think everyone dead in SL should stay in SL. If people can simply walk out of the afterlife then death no longer has any meaning. It’ll completely neuter the stakes of any death or sacrifice.

So far the only canon means of resurrection was raising someone into undeath. The in game resurrection spells, when used in the story, seem more like magic shock paddles. And, ignoring Calia, even the nicest undead are a bit twitchy and prone to maniacal cackles even when they’re just laughing at a friend’s silly anecdotes.

If we can just go and get someone out of the afterlife it’ll basically be Dragonball Z. Or those bad X-Men comics like where Nightcrawler simply teleports out of the afterlife.

The dead of the night elves will remain in Ardenwaeld, as well as Ysera.

Nah. We release the souls of the Night Elves to Ardenweald but that doesn’t mean it’s permanent. Willing to bet good money that Ardenweald will be used to at least revive all the dead Nelves, and possibly also restore teldrassil. To much emphasis on Elune and resurrection so far to not be the case. Could be wrong, it’s speculation, but don’t think I will be.

Ysera was revived by the Winter Queen personally, tying the two together. It’s not what normally happens.

Ysera is one of the strongest nature beings in existence.
