no problem you are welcome
for me im confused bc the amount of currencies.
ive been playing 3 weeks and my highest is i575.
slowly getting the hang of it but its a lot going on.
edit: also professions bein horrible is killin most of my enjoyment lol
Why can’t I make myself care about any of these people?
Starting my 13th character to level to 80. I completed the story on my main and as many side quests as I can find. None of my other 80’s make it out of the 1st zone before hitting level 80.
I wasn’t around when the big bad was introduced so many years ago or understand why they keep showing her feet in a lot of cutscenes. Will say I find way more herb knowledge books than ore knowledge books. Last character I leveled found enough herb book (120 sub points) but didn’t find a single ore book (55 sub points), yet both characters are 100/100 gathers in those trees.
I forgot completely who orweyna was when I read that list. I was like “which earthen is that?”
I’ve read every quest and every extra dialogue thing they’ve put in too!
You just need to take it one step at a time. If you’re not a Mythic+ or high end Raider, you can ignore a lot of the features in the game.
I leveled my first character through the MSL and ignored all the other quest. Then I began to complete all the zone quests. I completed almost 2 zones, than got bored of my character so I leveled a new one choosing to ignore the MSL and just do zone quest. Do to how Warbands worked I only did quests that my WB had not completed.
I’m still playing my second character and have gain the Loremaster achievement. As soon as the new patch drops I’ll level another character.
I mean, not sure what you was expeting… its a mmorpg (a 20 yo one)
I agree that there are a lot of currencies in the game, but it’s also not hard to understand if you take your time to read, lol.
“Oh, but there is too much, I just wanna play.”
Then MMORPGs are not the ideal game genre for you. I understand that you like the idea of the game, but I suggest looking for another game where you don’t need to focus on other details (like lore, story, characters, world, etc.) besides the gameplay. There are plenty out there.
And about that, unless you skipped all the cinematics, didn’t read any quests, and ignored any kind of dialogue, it doesn’t make sense for you to know nothing about any character; the game does a fair job of explaining who they are…
I mean… it helps to read the quests. They explain everything.
Bountifuls absolutely give gear rewards. But it’s RNG.
Also: it’s a video game. You’re wasting your time on it to begin with. Delves are no different with gearing than dungeons.
Every expansion is in a general sense banding together to fight off some sort of incursion or prevent the end of the world, that’s literally what a good number of the actual the books were about lol
Sorta an ironic statement tbh.
Made me chuckle.
“please read all of my long post which explains why I gave up reading everything”
I hope I don’t sound like a jerk but…I’ve been. Playing this game since launch. I know what an MMO is. This is not the same game I started playing all those years ago…and duh…it shouldn’t be. I enjoy the game. I always have. I was simply trying to make a point that it’s gotten a little out of hand with the amount of stuff being thrown at you from every single direction. The map looks like someone just threw a handful of stuff on it. There are literally like hundreds of things on it in some areas. The bloat is real. And I wouldnt care… honestly I know it’s a good thing to have a ton of content. It’s the disorganized way it’s being presented to us that’s a problem. Like for example I don’t wanna do 10 quests to find out I really didn’t need to do those at all for my current goal. Certainly when I don’t really even know why I’m doing it in the first place. That’s again just a small issue really…I guess honestly I think it would just be better if they knocked off a few of the extras and just brought it back to what made it so fun back the day.
The shell of the game has always been amazing and it’s always been enjoyable. It’s never been hyper confusing and overwhelming. It is currently for not just me. Lots of people are agreeing with me and this isn’t the only post like this. The game just has its hair on fire and needs to be cooled off a little. That’s all.
No thrashing from me. WoW has felt like a second job since Legion.
Going to disagree with you. I’m enjoying the story for what it is right now. We don’t know the whole story yet so no it isn’t going to make complete sense. But this story is leagues better than previous versions (BFA, SL).
As for the rest, It’s not that hard… most of the currencies are required to upgrade gear beyond the base level, and they allow casuals like me a way to earn their way to better gear. If you don’t want to deal with that, don’t. This is the nice thing about having options, you don’t HAVE to do anything but enjoy the game.
Peace.
WoW is a themepark. Don’t complain that there’s too many rides. You might get what you asked for… WoD
Fair point.
Play just the ones you want.
There were more currencies in earlier expansions.
There’s a single campaign storyline.
Insanely vague, almost intentionally so, as was everything beforehand. This is reeking of disingenuous dooming…
You didn’t even describe your issue. This feels like a college essay that was padded to reach a minimum word count but still failed the assignment.
And it says absolutely nothing to boot.
WoW has lots of things you can focus on, they are trying to reach as many player types as possible. Pick what you like most (I do PvP and relax in LFR), branch out if/when time permits.
102 people have liked this post in less than an hour. I think it said a lot more than the nothing you described it as. But opinions right…shrugs.
They aim to add complexity and depth to the game with all the various systems. If done well it can be engaging and elegant. If not, it just becomes a convoluted hot mess.
I’m with you, it doesn’t really feel like they’ve done it well for a long time now.
How would you suggest it gets “cooled off”?
I guess I dont know what your goal here is.
