If it was that simple we wouldn’t have server issues still.
No one wants to pack up and leave their friends and guildies behind. This server drama has already caused large guilds to disband because members can’t all agree on staying or leaving. Offering transfers do not solve the problem, because of the server issues ever since prepatch I now have several friend groups that are spread out on different servers and still people’s reponse to the server queues are to use the free transfers. THERE WERE FREE TRANSFERS DURING CLASSIC LAUNCH and we still have these issues.
The issue will not be fixed with free transfers and if anything it is just hurting communities. Everyone who says “just transfer” in these threads are just adding to the problem, many people have been on these servers for years. its not that simple.
I mean this isnt unique to WoW. A ton of MMO’s lock servers (New World, FF14) come to mind. If you are talking about being stuck behind a que then whatever. Blizzard said they are not going to make servers bigger.
I accidentally made my main on Grobbulus on day one of the game. It’s been my home ever since for my main, I don’t intend on leaving the server. Besides, I’ll be damned if I need to change my name.
People don’t leave when they should… The coal under Centralia has been on fire since the 60’s and people insist they are not leaving. Not saying it is a smart choice but getting people to move physically or virtually is no easy task. Home is home to them.
And you think this matters… why? Do you think it gives you some form or authority? Seniority? As though it gives you the right to demand others leave and fix a problem you willfully chose to ignore?
You made the choice to stay on Faerlina for the last month, knowing the server was full and would see tens of thousands of returning players plus people that never left all logging in at the same time this afternoon and you did nothing
