Just removed from a random for being a RPer

So I was just in a random dungeon, leveling my new Tauren Mage. I chanced to enter a pre-made group with 4 players of the same guild from Kel’Thuzad. Not even 1/4 of the way through, at the first boss no less, I was asked if I wanted to join their PvP guild. I replied “No thanks. I am more of a Roleplayer anyways.”

They said “Seriously?”

I said “Yes, Wyrmrest is a RP Server.”

They told me I needed to get some help, and then “You have been removed from the group.”

What the…and now I have a 30 minute CD before I can rejoin another random dungeon.

This is insane.

They sound like the kind of person who would say: “I play games to enjoy the game, if I want a story I’ll read a book” and they have like a 3rd-grade reading level.

Dunno why people continue to treat us roleplayers poorly, we just wanna enjoy the game too!

Imma keep saying it ppl on this game are weird, there’s no real reason… just have to move on I guess. :woman_shrugging:t4:

The forced cooldown is an issue. Given how frequently people are kicked for no real reason, the cooldown should only kick in if you’re kicked twice in rapid succession or if you’re kicked routinely, demonstrating you’re a problem player.

Getting kicked for no reason feels bad and like you were cheated.

If I join a random PuG where the other players are in the same guild, I’m always a little on edge for this reason.

WoW Players that act “cool” like that are so lame. Hope your next group goes better.

They’re trying to be the locker-pushing jock trying to take our lunch money when they too are the same squirrely looking nerd.

OP they’re just jealous because they aren’t imaginative so they take it out on you.

Sorry that happened to you. Idk what I can say to help you make feel better, but don’t let this experience bring you down.

They should really be a little more self aware when they’re playing WoW on a Saturday night. Nothing wrong with playing the game whenever, but like, calm down there, Hoss, we’re all dorks down here.

I also would like to add this game allows you to boot ppl for whatever :upside_down_face:

Wait, people talk in levelling dungeons?

Supposed PvP’ers in a random dungeon instead of in a random battleground?

Even if this is true and not a “trick or treat” deal… it sounds like they did you a favor and released you from a toxic group of morons.

Then again, something about this just doesn’t pass the “smell” test.

What makes it worse is I have a flight in a few hours and won’t be able to play for a week, and just wanted to level a bit…lol.

At that moment you should have known your position very well. They outnumber , out vote you and you ahve no veto power. Any sense of hostility quit and requeue

Maybe you need to go see an ENT specialist. I don’t give a rat’s behind if it passes your smell test. I’m not a regular poster, and I was ticked off enough to want to complain about it.

RP players got their own language … i got a toon on moonguard and i was looking for a guild and people would whisper me asking me for pronoun and punctuation, im like what is that

If PvPers, the “jocks” of WoW ask you to join their PvP guild, don’t respond with the WoW equivalent of “snort I’m in the chess club snort”.

Geez, just make up something like “no thanks, I’m in a HoF guild on my main”.
