Just removed from a random for being a RPer

There are always going to be skeptics when stories like yours pop up. Especially from a RP’er like myself who has never seen or been targeted like you describe.

I may have been mocked for being a RP’er or seen some snide comments because I’m from Moonguard. But being outright kicked because I’m a RP’er and didn’t want to join a PvP guild?

Nope. Just doesn’t seem realistic or plausible at this stage in the game.

So here’s the olive branch I’ll offer.

If it did happen, consider yourself lucky you were booted from their group. If it didn’t happen… then cynical poster moves on considering the hostility of your reply.

BTW, you shouldn’t be this wound up if you are about to hop on a plane and be gone for a week…

It is, after all, just a game.

So the people from a Non-RP guild asked you to join their guild on a server that isn’t connected to WA?

Wut?

I’ve been declined from groups before because I am a BM hunter from MG who didn’t have AOTC back in s1 for heroic sire… Yeah some people are weird about RPers. Don’t let it get to you, and sorry about that deserter debuff.

I think playing a Vulpera is more insane.

No ppl r weird in general on this game. Not just towards rpers

Any time your dungeon has three or four people from the same guild (and you’re not one of them), prepare for shenanigans!

That +8 Backpack space feels luxurious, though.

Yeah there are weird people everywhere, but people are rather weird about RPers in my and OP’s experience.

They get +8 backpack space?!

But they’re tiny. No way they can carry all that stuff.

This makes me angry. OP, I am so sorry. I do not actively rp, but back when my sister and I leeched off of dad’s subscription, we would play around with our blood elves and just have fun. We played them as sisters and I treasure those memories. That group saved you time on having to deal with them. I know it’s hard to not take it personal. Heck, I’m taking it personal on your behalf. You have a right to your emotions and feelings. Just don’t let that experience ruin what makes the game fun for YOU. We are all paying monthly for this game. We all have a right to play it how we want to. No reason to kick you out of the group unless it was the last resort, like not listening or something. If you are doing something wrong in a dungeon or raid, people should be adults and communicate. Try to help out before doing anything drastic. Their reason to kick you wasn’t even about performance!

Tail pockets.

So? People can kick you from the group if they don’t like your transmog, they don’t need a gameplay reason.

You do have a point. Apologies. Got a little too passionate ^^’

This is prob why some ppl dislike this game lol. yall just be ruining the experience

The easy solution to that is to make your own group. At that point you can do the exact same thing, or not, hence why it’s your group.

lol. You should now make a char there. Level it up, join their guild. Stir #$%^ up and exact revenge. Then when the guild disbands and its just you and the GM left. Leave with a cool note without looking back. “Never mess with a RP’er.”

You’re awesome! :hugs:

Thank you.

Yeah, you shouldn’t incur a penalty for being kicked given how many people abuse the system to be bullies. It’s another thing if someone is showing a pattern of behaviour, like you said.

This game still has a reputation for being extremely toxic. Usually, people will try and counter it with something like “Oh, it’s so much worse in League.” But I know people who have been chased away due to the behaviour the community, and only laugh when I suggest coming back for Dragonflight.

TBH, I think the design of the game actually nurtures it, but that’s a conversation for another day.

You might not like it, but “we just don’t want to group with you” is a perfectly valid reason to vote kick someone according to the rules as they are currently written.

If you had waited to respond until after you killed the boss, you wouldn’t have gotten deserter.

The reason it works that way is that tanks/healers would force the group to kick them to avoid deserter if they got oculus in wrath, so blizzard changed it so that getting kicked when you leaving would have given you deserter, gives you deserter.
