I think killing rares for gems is fine too, I thought doing the tower for gems in DF was fine even, what I don’t think is fine is doing rares/events and not getting listed rewards

laughable buggy mess. I agree just put them on the vendors ffs. Many people have done the event multiple time with no rewards due to one bug or another. How did this even make it into the game.

Your comment comes across as “meh it’s a bug in wow it’s expected,” which is a shame that the playerbase is so accepting… and if I saw my customers were willing to take untested junk I’d keep rolling it out too

It’s moreso, there’s a bug, they’re aware of it. Nothing we can really do but sit and wait for it to be fixed. Complaining on the forums about it won’t make them fix it faster.
One thing a lot of WoW players think is that if it was on the PTR every single bug should have been caught and fixed on the PTR. While this is true to an extent, not every bug will present itself on the PTR servers. There’s always going to be some sort of bug that makes it to the live version. PTR testing gets a significantly smaller playerbase than the live servers get, it’d be impossible to catch and fix every single bug in this ancient game.
when blizzard very publicly fired their team who is responsible for making sure bugs like this dont make it to release, it is in fact scandalous

I think they’re talking about the event that is bugged where it caves in and removes the reward a lot of times.
It rewards two rings the first and second time, each is a straight stat boost and summing best or nearly best.
You can’t purchase them until you get one through the event
They’re playing a game full of bugs, that’s what’s wrong
I get what you’re saying, and yes bugs happen but a couple of things make it worse. First blizzard had increased their patch cadence while laying off staff… this is almost asking for more bugs.
Second this was one of the main features, perhaps the main feature talked about in articles and videos… yes official wow/Blizz videos hyping the isle.

Are you talking about the 3 on the tortollan guy, yes. If you’re talking about the others for example the one that gives flat mastery you didn’t buy that without doing the event first

yes, i assumed the person i responded to was talking about the “chance to proc another effect at 150%” gem since i believe that’s one of the good ones for most people
When did I say I didn’t like this patch, I am a fan of Timeless Isle type things. If you had bothered to read, which I doubt, you would see that putting them on vendors actually requires us to do things on the isle for currency anyways.
You can’t buy it until you earn it. But I got it last night woot! However it is still a biggy mess.

You do know that teh reward each time one of teh Three events is up isnt guarenteed dont you —read what it says on the mission board . -it says completing this MAY - thats MAY NOT WILL , reward you with the following . So teh drop is NOT 100% .
Rewards from teh events have dropped for me between 1 and 20 tries so far so seems to be working as intended
