Yup I already do report and ignore. It’s just gotten so out of hand at times that I can sit there for 20 minutes and continuously do that. Hence this thread.
It’s not an excuse by any stretch - but there will be something else to grab folks attention soon enough. Politics only go so long once the biggest surge of the hype finally dies down and sanctions start rolling out too. Heavens only know what that particular new fad to be, but it’ll come.
Just keep on reporting as you have been. Thank you for doing your part in trying to keep that mess cleaned up.
World of Warcraft®
To report a player in World of Warcraft:
- Select the player’s character and right-click the target character portrait or right-click the player’s name in chat
- Click Report Player
- Select the most appropriate option
- Click Report
The forums are not an avenue in reporting someone.
Blizzard’s tried having a GM manually intervene and silence/suspend people talking inappropriately in an area where problematic chat was occurring. -cough-Goldshire-cough- …It didn’t work.
Some people who noticed others getting silenced/kicked offline shortly after saying something inappropriate would say something inappropriate directed at the GM.
People who were just going about their business stopped reporting inappropriate chat because they thought the GM would handle it.
Right click and report someone who you think is saying something inappropriate. That’s all you can do, and hope that enough people agree with you and file reports of their own that the reports actually turn into a ticket for the GMs to review.
Think its time to lock this up 24hrs now.
