I’m confused. Both the Heroic and Epic editions show the Vestments as a bonus; why wouldn’t someone be able to get them?
Someone’s been/is in customer service.
Some time’s the shortest response is best.
Nope…as I said before in an earlier post, I pre-order in case of shortage of funds.
Besides I’m not basing my buying on a transmog. Sure it’s nice to have, I collect if I can, but it’s not a game breaking thing.
I still have 100% preordered everything and have not been disappointed by anything other then WC3. WC3 should involve a class action lawsuit imo, but everything else has been peachy.
Huh. Imagine not researching what you’re spending your money on.
Fool and their money and all that.
some people in life are a natural born victim. Those people then go on to write threads on the World of Warcraft forums about trivial things.
it’s a vicious cycle
They do, but they intentionally conceal that you do not need to have the Heroic or Epic Version to get the Transmog, and they use specific graphics to insinuate that further. In Graphic Design, we called that misleading advertising.
You only need to find someone who has the mount who has a quest if you want to get the Eternal Traveler’s Set, and this is a material fact a LOT of people would of liked to know before they bought Shadowlands, I am sure.
That seems like an oversight, otherwise it’s just strange if not mildly deceptive.
Well you paid for it, so maybe you are the disconnected one…
We asked for months and Blizzard stonewalled. I mean if people think I like making posts calling foul, their mistook. I’d be much happier if Blizzard just played by the rules of good faith business, delivered a product that didn’t frustrate my purposes when I played with massive time-sinks; and let me do my own thing as it was in Classic.
But no, ever since Cataclysm and MoP onward it’s just been a mess.
I pre-ordered the base version… how do I obtain this quest?
Just find someone who has the premium version?
I won’t pretend to know what your experiences have entailed, but that seems kind of over the top from my perspective.
So people can pick up the Vestments quest with the basic edition but they can’t turn it in? That just sounds like a bug.
No they ‘can’ turn it in, and in fact get the same thing you got for a higher price.
So who is unable to turn it in and why? I’m pretty sure someone said they couldn’t.
Nevermind lol, they just meant they couldn’t find a mount to turn it in.
I think they indicated unless they got someone with a mount to respawn the NPC they could not turn it in. But that being said, I believe Kaivax already came out and said that this was not a bug.
Then yeah, that’s bad design but it’s too late now as people who bought the Basic edition already have it. Not that I’m opposed to people being able to get the Vestments with the Basic edition but it should have been advertised if that’s what they intended.
The quest giver was at the entrance for the portal room in Orgrimmar.
I didn’t see him until after I bought SL. It may have changed since then, but check there.
As far as I know you can’t turn it in unless you have the mount.
Yes, I will eventually get the vestments even though I paid less than those who paid full price, but I also don’t get:
Character Boost
Mount
Cosmetic effect
Hearthstone
gametime
Immediate access to the Vestment (kind of)
A transmog is small compared to what those who buy the Epic edition gets.
Just to help clarify (as I believe this is what you meant anyway )If someone with the mount does happen to spawn the NPC and you’ve completed the quest, you will indeed be able to turn it in and get the transmog.
Yes, lol You make it a lot clearer than I did. I did forget the NPC.
Thank you
