Same. I think the drop rate was like 4-6/day.
Well clearly it is if you follow this up with
But i do think you have a point with saying…
I guess if it was longer or even with people who are used to instant gratification i could see how they are annoyed or bothered. On the other hand there is something to be said for the journey to get items…even if you did get it off the store front.
I mean we pay a sub to play and we don’t get instant gratification at every tier and in every piece of content, you still have to play through it.
It was actually 5-6 a day before the DR kicked in (most days I got 6 and double checking WoW head most people are saying 6). So you get those and then if you log for the day and don’t kill any other mobs it will take a week with about 10 minutes total time invested. Though I kept playing (not farming mobs) and would get another couple a day.
Well when you consider the boost is going for $60 and the one month sub is another $15. You basically get the rest of the bonus items and the expansion for $5. I can understand if the OP is upset that he has to “grind” the transmog but it’s not that hard.

The fact Blizzard constantly gives you fine text on their shop page any time you want to buy something displays a problem with their company. Like I stated, although it’s not wrong, it is scummy. They give you a big “BUY THIS AND GET EARLY ACCESS” button which takes you directly to checkout, and then you find out you have to grind grind grind. Blizzard has been into these less-than-ethical tactics for a while. All of you who constantly poop on their microtransactions should have no problem admitting that.

Well like I mentioned, if you only go after the freebies you will get it in a week with about 10 min of time invested. The only grind is if you want it sooner.
Is the highest tier technically worth double the cost of the game? Yeah. Is it worth it to me? Not even close. Boosts still costing $60 is pretty absurd also for how easy leveling is and will be too.
There is always fine print to be read for pretty much everything in life. In this instance it wasn’t actually all that fine, you just needed to real All the information. Not just some of it.
Read it and know, or don’t read it and be unknowledgeable.
Blizz gave the info, you chose not to read it. That, is not Blizz’s fault.
I’m sorry you are unhappy, however you have no one to blame but yourself.
It was just an example. It could be a day, a week, two weeks, whatever.
Not when I buy a cosmetic item off the store for cash. That’s complete bs.
I will work my butt off for things I want in game with the game time I bought to access that content. But the store is there for item purchases that aren’t gated.
For the thousandth time…
Paying a monthly fee to access the game is NOT the same as buying an item out of the store.

I need to leave this thread and mute it. It’s like banging my head against a wall in here.
For me, it was only 3-4 a day.
Anyway, I’m done in here and muting this crap. Can’t wait for Blizz to read this and see how happy people are having their store purchases gated so that they can do the same to all of the new mounts and pets they add.

Wow Rhielle we finally agree
Yes but I can’t find the mount. I thought I could use someone else’s but even if I could, I can’t find one to even use.
I was to cheap to buy the whole thing. lol
I only bought the basic. So no mount. Just let the darn things collect dust until I can turn in the quest.
I am confused. Do you buy a car just buy reading the window sticker or do you look up more info first? How about a computer just by what is written on the box? Blizzard spells it out and people “assume” and then get mad at Blizzard when their assumptions are not met.

Yeah, this is the real reason I make threads now that appraise people on Shadowlands developments. It definitely felt like a scummy move to insinuate the unless you got the non-basic version you couldn’t get the Eternal Traveler set. It also was pretty dirty not to explain that the quest was actually a long grind at the Blood Gate.
I wish I could just trust Blizzard to make the right decisions and for the best of reasons, but when they time and again do this sort of thing… Well that probably explains some of my less kindly posts over the years.

What a great community response to your complaint. I’m sure you feel validated from their outpouring of sympathy and understanding.
I certainly find it heartwarming.

I can see your point. Not sure how much of an issue it is but i think you are right it could be a slippery slope.
I don’t know, i always looked at it as just a small hill to climb to get something and it added a little bit to what we got. And it was only on one item, you had already got showered with all the other stuff.
No it’s not exactly the same, but you understand the parallel.
For me it just seems like making a mountain out of a molehill, now if it was on everything all the time with increasing frequency and increasing gated time i could see there being some blowback.
Like you said, it’s a slippery slope. I guess we will see how much of a slope it is if Blizzard chooses to do more of this type of thing.
File for a refund and move along.
NEXT!
Slippery slope fallacy. They added a mount as part of this bundle and said that it offers a quest for this item. If any future mounts and pets do that, then just don’t buy them.

Oh no you have to “grind” 8 days at the most.
Yeah, my new rule with Blizzard is no more pre-orders.

You didn’t spend 15 minutes… unless you mean 15 min a day for almost a week.
Again, you pre-ordered?
Still sounds like that was your first mistake.
