On top of the kidnapping priests issue that has been sitting unaddressed for a long time, I ran into this today.

A DK soloing Lor’themar and the other elves around him that was basically undamageable. Trying to damage it was worse than trying to solo kill a healer by many times over. It’s borderline undamageable even with me and the bosses railing on it, I don’t think it dropped below 80%. By having NPCs nearby Blood gets stronger.
This is not entirely a blood issue but this is what happens. I had seen this in previous expansions with crap like Rextroy raid boss Paladin but I thought we had gotten past this garbage.
Sustain is off the wall in modern WoW, but blood is still an outlier of the crowd because of the way it was made to heal tank. We also know blood is solid in large scale PvP thanks to death grip. And we still haven’t done anything about priest kidnapping.
Can we just nerf blood? Take 5 seconds away from arena and look at it. It should not have such constant sustain to begin with, or it should run itself down eventually, the way healers run out of mana.
tldr: bring back vanilla resource starvation where you had to eat drink and first aid

It is fine. Sort of.
Blood is more likely to survive an engagement with three or four people than it is with two people due to Hemostasis and Dancing Rune Weapon applying two Blood Plagues extra per target.
It is the squishiest tank in the game with the least mobility and one of the most counterable. Warriors have huge tools against Blood.
Guardian is far more of an issue because its inability to die is purely passive - there is no reactive mechanic that causes its healing. It is stacked with damage reduction.
If you think this is bad - you should have seen Blood in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor.
Regardless, if Blood stays roughly 1:1 in The War Within - you are going to see Blood much harder to kill and one shot due to how it interacts with its diseases.
For what it is worth, it is going to be even better next week due to the extra 10% stamina increase.
Blood DK is a troll spec in PvP. 2nd worst tank in the game after prot paladin for functional rated play.
I played a twin peaks tonight enemy team had 2 blood DKs and an evoker that were doing cheese.
They tried to chain grip me into the water and I just used leap, reflect, bloodrage spamming /lol as I ran away.
Then they pulled me off the map and 1v2 at the edge of the world I murdered that blood DK in front of his ugly lizard friend.
Lizard jumped off the edge when I killed the DK. I stunned him mid air and fell to his death.
Reported both for blocking progress.
Blood DKs are dumb. Their friends are dumb too.
Probs was just getting a funky Leech bonus from an NPC.
Also Warriors can’t kill Plate tanks without some serious CD disparities.
